The Return of Journalism

With the resurgence of RS5, Argonath Express (the former Argonath state newspaper) is set to make its return, with publication being 1-2 times a month, in PDF/image format.

Operations are planned to begin in SA:MP within the month of April, but are set to expand to the rest of the community. As such, we are opening positions for the publication staff.

Tasks of the publication:

- Write stories about Argonath life and events
- Interview prominent personalities within the community
- Commemorate Argonath history and significant changes
- Provide insight and analysis on various Argonath issues
- Host Classifieds section for advertisements

Positions Available:

Reporter
- Must have a medium to high understanding of English.
- Must have at least medium skill in writing articles / columns in English.
- Must know how to document (screenshots, notes and details) significant RP events ingame.
- Must know how to write articles about the said events, as objectively as possible.
- Willing to conduct interviews.
- Willing to meet deadlines.

Photographer
- Must have a medium to high understanding of English.
- Must know how to document (screenshots) significant RP events ingame.
- Must know how to take good screenshots.
- Willing to meet deadlines.

Columnist
- Must have a medium to high understanding of English.
- Must have at least intermediate skill in writing articles / columns in English.
- Must know how to analyze issues and recent events in the community.
- Must know how to put their opinions on Argonath issues into words.
- Able to write coherently and reasonably.
- Willing to meet deadlines.

Financial compensation will not be a matter to discussed until the publication has achieved a significant amount of productivity.

There have been a decent number of Photographer applications so far. Yet I'd like to encourage our aspiring writers to apply for the Reporter and Columnist positions.

Awesome. This type of "job" has always been interesting to me as it not only gives great roleplay opportunities but it also gives a new service to the players, a real one. Knowing your professionalism maybe I'll consider to drop an application at your PM. I just need to check how can I reschedule myself if I'd had to add this to my Argo tasks.
