AMWC 2014? 

Hello all!
 
  Firstly I hope everyone is well and enjoying RS5! I have yet to try it myself as I am still busy with studies so this discussion will be a nice distraction for me. I want to know about the feasibility of running an AMWC event this summer (June-July) in Argonath RPG.

  So I will summarise what this is about:

What: The Argonath Motorsports World Championship [AMWC] is the largest motorsports event in Argonath held yearly since 2012 with various flavours of races, DDs and other vehicle related competitions. Last year there was like 50 events and each involved many players and teams.

Questions
  To know if this would be possible...

• Is there ARA script support in RS5 like before (is there barriers) - if not, suggestions on how to confine the events.
• Is there scope to provide more RP within the events? (RP jobs)
• Can the economy handle it?
• Could any new features improve races? (e.g. mechanic, fuel system)
• Will there be enough players
• Is there enough state vehicles or player owned cars to make races fair
• Is there a car spawn system that could be used to make races?

    I may add more points for discussion if they are mentioned. Please mind that I do not know RS5 scripts well.

Damn YES! Lovin' it.

1. Yes, there's ARA script included in RS5. We could use barricades for the event(s).
2. Maybe, if it would be used properly. For example; There's a mechanic to fix all the vehicle(s) before the race starts.
3. Yes, you can easy handle the economy. Get some volunteers who could support you within the event(s).
4. Yes, you can get a part within the track, called as (Fixing vehicle(s) area). You can hire some MECHANICS who'll be there to fix player's vehicle which could increase RP and would look some thing like real race. They can fix there vehicle on their own risks.
5. Yes, if it would be on a suitable time. A time when most of the players are online.
6. There are enough state vehicle(s) around San Andreas. People nowadays are really rich to purchase a vehicle.
7. No, I don't think that there's a system like that.

Actually, good idea. But this is motorsport so we need much money and buy a good motorcycle. All in all this is a competition and if you got best car/motorcycle, you can be first easily. I think the biggest problem might be lack of money but we can solve it by finding a sponsor to afford expenses.

Really liked your idea. Like PIT Stop in Formula 1. If your car almost exploded, you can make "PIT Stop" to repair your car.

I dont know about the others but so far i cannot afford to buy vehicles for the races. Also about the date. In greece the school exams end in mid june so id like to know if it is possible to delay it for the greek participants

Your events in 2012 and 2013 are something best that Argonath has offered.
It would be nice to have them this year too, but im not sure that it's possible to be done on such a high level as past years.

If anyone says that he cannot afford vehicle so I think he's wrong. You got a whole month to earn money and get your self a vehicle.

Other then this, there are millions for state vehicle around, you can use any of it.

I think he means that as the RS5 has released and the economy is low at the moment, So the "high level" means that the prizes were high in RS4 but as the economy of RS5 is low then the prizes of AMWC will also be low as compared to RS4.

If he mean this so he's a point correct. However, players around the server are always on fireman duty and have made money above 200k or more. Thou he can get support for the server management.

There are more players with less than 20k than those who have more than 200k.
