Talk about how bad social media is, then ask people to share that on .. social media! Hypocrisy at its best.

Look, you had a good time while smartphones didn't exist but you'll have a better time if you start using them instead of moaning how bad they are.

When people used letters instead of cellphones they didn't call each other letter slaves or something like that. It's the people who can't afford smartphones and those who didn't even try them that talk how bad they are.

My phone is one of the latest smartphones on the market. I'm a Computer Science major, so half of the time (when I'm not at work), I have a powerful, office-level laptop with me. Technology is an important of part of my life, and I use it all the time. The difference is that I am not over-dependent on it, or relying on it at the expense of my ability to connect when I meet someone in real life, or to manually prepare whatever shit I have to when the internet / app's network is down.

Not to mention I make more money than 75% of citizens (in my country) who are at my level, so I can buy whatever personal technology I want. Therefore, you cannot attribute my views to ignorance of / the inability to afford technology.

Another difference is that back when people wrote letters, they actually knew how to connect to each other in person rather than going into a depressed, if not suicidal state, when they lost access to news (today's social media) for a week.

Today is an age of smart phones, smart TVs, and (even) smart toilets, but dumb people.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

"We are generation of idiots, smartphones and dumb people."

Shut the f**k up you goddamn hippie.

You surely are a joke. This generation really is just about being as lazy as you can be such as always texting someone because apparently to you, its probably the same as talking face to face. All of this technology that has been placed in society is nothing more then just dehumanizing in every possible way. You may think people aren't dumb these days, but people are more stupid then they ever were because technology is the only thing that can guide them, not their brains or common sense.

im telling you Illuminati is behind this.

im gonna hide in a cave now, bye.

On a more serious note, most of it is actually true. When I look back at my childhood we used to be in the woods, discovering shit and getting our hands dirty, climbing trees and that kind of things. The only thing that's get explored now are CoD's maps and Elder Scrolls their caves... such a shame.
It's weird how a couple can get into a big fight or even break up because of the internet. "Not texting back fast enough", "Not using x's enough", writing ok instead of okay.

Some fucked up world when you think about it.

Illuminati, tellin ya.

That makes no sense, seriously

Also I guess you know that people invented all of that. You are to busy complaining how bad technology is that you forgot all the good things about it.

I know that people invented it, and I would agree they are by far smart inventions to come up with. I know that technology has lots of good things about it, but is it really necessary some of the things people invent? What about in 40 years from now? What will all that technology really do for us in the long run?

Half the people these  days can't even live their life without having to check their Facebook, status updates or other junk that doesn't even matter every day. People used to use their imagination to have fun or do something outside with their friends, mess around as a kid, etc. I even see damn 5 year olds holding a tablet playing some mobile game. You don't see kids playing in parks, going in the woods, etc.

People are obsessed with their large egos and social media and caring only what people think of them.

Haha, nothing can be done about this. The world is moving foward, the future is now. We can't move backwards, it is simply a lost cause.

Nobody is forcing you people to keep your Facebook accounts or play around with your cellphone.

People are obsessed with their large egos and social media and caring only what people think of them.
This big focus on bashing social networks is your attempt to defend your social outcast status. If you weren't some awkward dweeb no one would give a shit you don't use Facebook and you wouldn't too. Before you start defending yourself because I took a shot at your value, take this life advice and embrace it. Stop trying to change the world, you can't. Change yourself.

Watched this a week ago like 3 times.. Sadly it's true. However, nobody should blame technology... It's not like my phone forces me to use it... I use it because I choose to thus I should blame myself. Technology is there to make it easy for ya', but again you should always limit your use.

Mostly the problem is that people misuse both their social media and their smartphones. a good rule of thumb is to use it how they actually advertise it a lot of the time. Mostly you see that with smartphones how people go on holidays, have bonfires, paint something, couples have babies, you know everything that is actually worth sharing and that persons own experience in this world.
That is what you should also do share your own experiences of life. Take up a hobby and take pictures of it from the moment you really suck to the point you are sort of good. Don't just share what other people have done and spam facebook game invites.

And we do not try to be real life, as why would you ever play real life if you have one ? We play the GTA universe, and our players should try to live in the GTA world, not the real one.
