You do know you don't need to play this right?  So why bother getting so uptight about it because Visceral decided to do something a little different than the usual mediocre bullshit "warfare" type game.  The franchise isn't ruined not even close, I don't see any Call Of Duty elements though looks more like a cross of BF and Payday of proportions.

REPLICA.

I can't believe this.. I'm seeing these f**ktards at EA ruin my most favorite multiplayer game ever.. I'm seeing my most favorite military franchise being ruined.. I'm seeing these greedy EA f**ks abusing the Battlefield title for a game that should be named "SWAT 5 WITH COD ELEMENTS". FUCK EA, and FUCK DICE FOR SUBMITTING TO THIS EA'S BULLSHIT. I thought that BF4 looking exactly the same as BF3 was wrong and I already thought that BF3 was shit compared to all previous BF's but this one has crossed every single line of bullshit I've ever seen. this is so f**ked. This isnt even battlefield anymore. Since when a SWAT vs criminals engage in a battlefield? FUCK EA! FUCK THEM!

Would you rather they make yet ANOTHER game in the Middle East/west Asia area where you're going after practically the same guys? No. 20 bucks says you're going to love this one a hell of a lot more.

Also, I'd lay off the coffee if I were you... too many insults towards guys who are pressured into their work and have to please every single person who buys their games.. it's not easy, so show some fucking appreciation.

Jesus Christ... people these days.

It's the point that this game is the same exact shit as BF3 and BF4. Wow, you get to be in a bank this time, but they will still use the same crappy animations, mechanics and everything else the game had. How could anyone appreciate such a shitty company like EA? Yeah because letting people pay real money for faster IG unlocks and then paying $50 for premium or even more for extra DLC's is great! I bet half the people who buys this trash hasn't played an actual good FPS in their life time. BF and CoD, are as lazy as games can possibly get in this world.

It's not every time a company gets voted worst company in America twice in a row.

Something tells me you don't like the new game... You do not have to buy it.

On the other hand, I'm glad they changed things up and will have no problem laying down $59.99. Gotta' love the cops and criminal element!

It will probably be a fun Co-op game to play with friends. Looks forward to see what the game will deliver!  :)

We must have played different games then. Last I checked the animations were great, so were the mechanics. Not much you can add to those.

Like I said... they can't please everyone... and if they're raking in the cash, they must be doing something right. If they were to take into consideration everyone's demands, you'd get a first-person open-world zombie survival fps with squad play and RPG elements. (yes, trust me, I've seen such demands be made for games like this.)

You're going to pay $60 for a game, or even $120, that you know will end up not being that much different from the previous games. Plus, they WILL be releasing 4 maps at the price of $15 each pack, which is a good deal how? I remember when map packs or DLC in general happened, people were outraged at paying $2 just for a horse skin, yet somehow people think its a good deal now. This game doesn't even take much work to make, its more of just an expansion to the series.

I get that EA is making tons of money off the way they sell their games, but its the point of them being one of the most GREEDY companies in video game history alongside Activision. Do you really feel good supporting a company that milks games to the core, doesn't care for fans at all, doesn't even care to fix bugs once the game has passed the 1 year mark?

EA releases these sports games every year with literally nothing changed either, just updated player cards and some "enhanced" engine as they like to so call it.

This company will do NOTHING if it doesn't gain them a profit, just look at how they wont even keep the original battlefield up anymore because it may cost a few bucks, but at least it would please fans which they clearly don't care at all about. How you guys can pay and support a company like EA is beyond me.

If you plan on getting this game, get it used.

Oh don't get me wrong. I don't support them. I only bought their games because they were in the bundle and the offer was just irresistible. I don't even plan on buying this one, as I'm seriously bored of the AAA titles. It's all Indie for me.

All I was saying is that if you're not a developer or work at a company where they develop AAA titles, then you won't really know the pressure that's put on the employees. People in that sector are fired from their jobs by the thousands every year. Some companies close and leave their employees jobless, and thus it's difficult for them to take on a new approach as it's risky for business, and eventually, for jobs.

And while I do agree that EA should try to take a better approach to handling their work (best role model being Valve Co.), I don't go around saying that like it's the easiest thing in the world.

Anyway, we'll just wait and see what they do with this one.

I don't care where the f**k the game is set. Battlefield 2 needed no damn storyline and it still beat the ass of everysingle modern Battlefield game out there from Bad Company to BF4 and now this shit. Same with Battlefield 1942. I'm an old school BF fan and I was playing the series since 1942. I played em all and had countless hours of fun on BF1942, BF Desert Combat, BF Vietnam, BF2 - all these titles are basically multiplayer games, yet they're far better to what BF has turned into now. BF3 was ok.. But BF4.. I'm sorry.

why bother getting so uptight about it because Visceral decided to do something a little different than the usual mediocre bullshit "warfare" type game.

I'm upset because I'm seeing the series loose it's touch. It's called BATTLEFIELD, not SWAT or BANK HEIST for a REASON. If you don't know what BATTLEFIELD really means.. I wouldn't mind if EA launched this as a new title, but now they're abusing the Battlefield title to promote a non battlefield game.

If you don't know what BATTLEFIELD really means..
Let's see.......

Battlefield: The field where a land battle is or was fought.
Battle: a sustained fight between large, organized armed forces.

So the first one doesn't specifically define what type of field it has to be. It could be a city, a block, a street, or a damn room.
The second doesn't define what type of "armed forces" it has to be. Cops and a group of criminals, thus, fit into the criteria perfectly.

"Battlefield" is more inclusive than you think, so don't pick on the small things. Now where's a good poke smiley when you need it? I'll have to settle for this:  :door:

You pretty much understand what I meant. There was no need to use the Battlefield name for this kind of a game. Battlefield always was focused on large scale infantry and vehicle combat, not cops vs robbers.

And shall I remind you of times when each new BF game didnt look the same as its previous one? Yup, that's right, hardline looks exactly the same as BF4..

You could say that to every sequel of every game out "it looks the same as the previous". At least they are doing new things each release. Every battlefield had either new physics engines or large gameplay additions. Although I reckon the step up from BF3 to BF4 included only minor improvements (nothing groundbreaking like Bad Company 2 ->BF3 or BF2-> BC )  this looks like a step in a new direction and actually looks fun.

Looks like they could take the best bits out of games such as Rainbow Six Vegas, SWAT 4, and mix it into the gameplay and destruction of Battlefield.

As long as they keep the Battlefield formula, and not make it shit like the last Medal of Honour game it could be a good refreshing take on the series. Looking forward to CO-OP games.

I'm interested in games so I have to ask, can you point me towards some FPS with good animations, mechanics and everything that BF or COD lack, and what are the good FPS's to play?
