Briefcases will now be included in the 2.0 release planned for next week rather than a later version.

2.0 is now in admin testing (ahead of schedule) and once we have made absolutely sure it is ready for production we will explain the transition and new commands.

Theoretically this looks like a really amazing feature.

I believe Argonath will be back as soon as the exams are over.
SA:MP server is currently in a decent state with a stable player base of around 20-25 people on a daily basis.

/pickpocket should never have been introduced, as a lot of troublesome players have used it to force roleplay while not having any quality on their own end. I'm more than glad to see it's finally removed!

Everyone should be earning their own money, and I'm looking forward to see the other jobs becoming enhanced! (rather than just nerfing the fireman and/or cop jobs)

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

A last minute change to how the transition will work.

Upon release we will not destroy and move all cash from wallets instead, upon Login, the scripts will load you wallets as normal but will instead strip them of money and place the cash to your hand. You will then get a confirmation the wallet has been destroyed and how much money it had in it. This method is far less error prone than the way I was initially planning.

You will then get a notice once the scripts have finished updating the stats on your account to economy 2.0. If you get ANY warnings or errors, or notice anything wrong contact a developer IMMEDIATELY with the chatlogs... you will also get this same message with the confirmation.

The current estimated target for this to be wrapped up is Thursday while a few last minute changes are made and tested.

A few notes about briefcases:

Minimum amount to buy is $1,000 and costs $100 per case.
You can only carry one case at a time.
A case can be dropped anywhere in the game world, even inside interiors.
A case dropped in the game world will be captured by Sauron (destroyed) if it isn't picked up within 48 hours (2 days). This is non-refundable.. Don't even ask.

What is the maximum amount that a case can hold inside?

1. Minimum amount to buy a briefcase is $1,000 but the briefcase costs $100 ?
2. Are briefcases treated as 'items' ? Can they be stored in containers ? /give-n to another player ? Do we lose them on death ?
3. Will there be a /use briefcase anymore ?

Exactly as Brian said for #1, the briefcase itself is $100. So it costs $100 + what ever you want to put in in order to buy a briefcase.

2. Briefcases are an independent system. Currently no. However an eventual system may be a briefcase drops where a person dies. This of course has a huge element of potential abuse so I don't know. I'll have to discuss it with HQ further at some point down the road.

Edit: No they cannot be put in containers.
There is a /givecase command to directly give it to another nearby player.

3. Eventually yes.

Yes. If you find a briefcase you can take it. But if you aren't suppose to have it.. you might get hunted down for it.

The maximum is $9,999,999 per briefcase.

Well,I came up with an idea about containers,in the current system we have containers and we put our some stuff inside of it ( Drugs etc ) How about making these container stuff to like a Backpack ?

I guess that'll better look having 10kg weed in container as a backpack ,also whoever owns these backpacks should allowed to show it or hide it depends of character RP status and situation,Also we should deposit some bullets inside of it too ,depends of type of container ( backpack ) if its big maximum amounth like 1000 Bullets something like this,If we die ,we should drop or not to drop our backpack ,if the backpacks drops the ground in the world of Argonath,Who'll be able to pick them up ?A Cops , Citizens ? If cops collect them who'll take the weed and bullets inside of it,however the current sytem not to drop anything look nice in my mind.After all

-We'll have more realistic RP instead of typing /containers
-Player avaible to remove it or use it in his back to fit on RP.
-Player should deposit some seed,weed,heroin,bullets(depends of type bag)
-Player should drop it or not ? ( We dont know it yet)
-Player be able to carry Hamburger with him ? ( If player carries it,Player cannot use it in combats and fighting positions ? If player can be able to use it inside of Combat(gunfight,fist fight etc) Re-use time minimum should be 5 minutes?
-Player should give his backpack to someone else simply /givebackpack ID , All the things should be given to another one or they'll have a menu to select item and item type and amounth?
-Backpacks can be pickpocket from someone ? If anything inside of it,people will lose something or pickpocket should removed in that case?


That's an some ideas and questions in my mind to making something nice instead of /container ideas,i hope that'll helpfull and usefull in the future,lets discuss what kind of negative status can be happen with these stuff or that's going to actually helpfull for making RP and another usefull act?

PS:All the things included with Economy,thats why i decided to post it here.

I don't want to stress you or anything... neither do I want you to sign on an accurate release date... But the whole briefcase idea is pretty cool... So could we have a really estimated release date? ... Something like: Less than 1/2weeks/1 month/3 months/etc.
