hi

idk why is this happening but whenever I start a game(any game) my laptop ignores the existance of the nvidia card and continues to use the Intel one, this has been a pain in the ass with all games i play idk why

I tried switching to nvidia using the run using processor option, it still shows only intel graphics(like who the f**k uses that), i tried forcing the nvidia card to do all the work, still nothing

help please

edit; i made sure both of my gpus are up to date and running fine, same problem

Go into Windows button and type "Device Manager" and click it, then click the little arrow infront of "Display Adapters. You will see which graphics card you have, if you see the Nvidia, double click it and it will install it.

The world is ending and you are still on the internet?

If you uninstall Intel your screen will probably look non HD, but you could still browse, I did that once when I needed to upgrade my GPU, give it a try, it's just the GPU you are uninstalling.

I uninstalled the nVidia GPU, but now I'm unable to install it again. It says that "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

1. Use Windows Update to get the driver reinstalled. It is likely a proprietary one that is only available for that specific laptop model/line.
2. Don't use offensive text in your topics again. You have been warned about this before. Next time I will just lock it.

I fixed the problem by reinstall the nVidia driver, it lasted for a day, but now it's back again. D:

How old is your system? The hardware on it may be failing and causing Windows to improperly identify the GPU.

Stop asking me when episode 7 comes out!

To use my Nvidia card I have to plug an external screen through the HDMI, maybe yours needs the same?

It works fine if I install the driver, but it then starts using Intel after the the next boot. So I have to reinstall the driver every day

Your system should be using the Nvidia card regardless. If this is the only way it works, then something is wrong with it.
