Yet another MDC idea

Greetings everyone!

Over the past days I have had the urge to come up with something relatively new, some idea, suggestion... this stuff. What I came to is not exactly new, but rather known as it has been proposed before multiple times. So, I present you my idea.

I would like to have the Mobile Data Computer (also known as MDC) implemented in game and available in every vehicle used by law enforcement organisations. The functions should be:

/mdc wanted
I believe this one is quite obvious. It would display a list of wanted players together with their crimes, such as:
Kerbe(X): suspected for [reason] by [name](Y)
Mihail(Z): suspected for [reason] by [name](A)
etc.
In addition to that, suspects would have regular civilian color (white) so the only way to find out they are wanted would be to use the MDC inside a police vehicle. Not only it would increase the usage of police vehicles on duty but possibly also increase RP among officers. This addition is optional though.

/mdc vehicle [vehicleID]
This command would provide us with the info about the specified vehicle, such as model, owner (player and state/organisation alike) or colour (I remember earlier on apart of the autosuspecting script was a report on police radio saying "Last seen in [colour name] [vehicle name]). So in the end, it could look like this:
Model: Vigero
Owner: Kerbe
Color: Dark blue
It would certainly look way nicer if we had some kind of GUI, but I know it is buggy and unstable so I won't even start about that. Another problem I can see is that there are no car plates, so unless suspect tells cops his car ID, they have no way to gain information about the vehicle he is in. Think about possible solutions, please!

/mdc properties [playerID]
Basically, after inputing this command, we would get a list of specified citizen's properties, such as vehicles or houses and businesses. It could look like this:
Properties of Kerbe(X):
House: none
Businesses: none
Vehicles: 352 (Vigero)

/mdc registration [playerID]
Maybe you know and maybe you don't about the /checkregistration command, which allows policemen to see if specified player has a passport or driving license. What I propose is to restrict this command in a way that allows it to be used only via MDC (thus only in a police vehicle). Together with other commands I think it would once again promote the usage of police vehicles and possibly increase roleplay during traffic stops or random checks on weird citizens walking towards us on the sidewalk.

So, that's it for now. If you have any further ideas, suggestions, recommendations or questions, don't hesitate to post them as I am open to all possibilities! Should you find any flaw in this idea please say it so we can come to a solution.

I had your same ideas long ago , put them in a chest for unknown reasons. So as you had bring them i will share my opnion 


Actually we are missing a real on-board computer , and this /mdc is a very great idea which will improve the job and also making it more difficult. I personally think that some people will start patrol together with this ^-^
I totally like it , about the color hidden it can be improved like this:

Suspect flees away from scene with white color , an officer sees he is wanted on the /mdc , decides to report it to other officer's via radio and also show his location and so making him orange with a command like:
/mark ID (Suspect ID) additional text (Such like current location - It's not a must but it would help a bit)

Other officer's will receive a message on their chat:

Suspect (ID) has been reported in Dukes by "Officer Name"


This brings some realism to the job, difficult and dedication for some.

It's a great thing , but i guess it should be restricted to the LCPD Officer's+ or Cadet+ , i don't see how a freecop would need it. He can ask a check via radio.
However this is my own thinking , i don't see any problem if freecop someday will get the command , if it will be even scripted.


The command is /registration ID actually and i think also that it should be improved with the license plate or some more informations. This would bring more RP  for the officer's , checking if the car has been stolen would be more easy.
For example: /checkplate ID (Some name like this  reporting the plates reported stolen by citizens via 911)

The thing is there are no real plates (unless some are scripted, like /setplate [plate] and /seeplate [ID] for personal cars, and some random stuff for state/organisation cars, for example) so we would have to use vehicle IDs.

Yup , i agree also on  the range. It's reasonable and absolutely realist.
That's sad that we don't have plates , i have seen some videos from Batta Channel and i see in 2011 there was something like plates. However i didn't fully understand how it worked.

I Wanted to Say For every player to make The /mdc Propereties ,/mdc Registration + The Stolen vehicle part would be totaly ruined because of crashes... etc
Some things are easy some Things Area hard 2 Make
Everytime someone changes the house or buy a new car it needs to be set in the /mdc propereties

I Didnt say i dont like it But it is hard for scripting and alot of stuff could go wrong.

Then /mdc vehicle the drivers would change colors alot it would be pretty messed up

Only The easy to make ones are:
/mark and /mdc Wanted

And if this is planned to come out it should be more simpler and abit less information...

There has been a discussion about the white blips thing from the SA:MP server and sadly, many staff members discouraged it for some reason.

However,  all the other ideas like the vehicles mdc and /mark ID seems nice
