The UN can't do much... well they could probably step in but I don't think it would solve problems completely. They're scared as hell anyway. Don't even start about USA. All they want is money and glory, they won't do shit about this situation and they're on Israel's side anyway. If they can't solve it themselves they need someone who won't take sides to intervene.

The U.N can't do much because neither side can understand what the f**k a cease fire means. Both agree to a cease fire and one ends up shooting anyways. I find it funny you complain the U.S doesn't wanna do anything because it doesn't benefit us finically, yet, every other time we've intervened in an international dispute we got no monetary gain, only loss, and people complained the U.S always steps in.

This is exactly the points I've made before; if the U.S intervenes people complain about them getting involved in everything; if the U.S stands idle-by people complain they don't care about international relations and shit. But this topic has nothing to do with America, so let's stay on topic.

The only way this will get resolved is if both leaders agree and uphold a cease fire agreement, sit down, in person and talk shit out. Both sides are guilty of killing innocents, it happens, it's war.. every country that has been too war knows the cost of war. I'm not saying it's right, cause it's not, it's wrong. Innocent civilians on either side do not ever deserve to be a causality of situations entirely out of their control.

I hope both sides wake up and realize the senseless fighting will never end unless serious discussion take place on unforced grounds. This means they shouldn't be forced into talks by anyone else; since that leads to even more disagreements which will cause more bloodshed.

Phone calls: How would they know who to send them to? How would they know who lives where? They just text the entire country? Even then, doesn't make shit any better. They're just telling them "Oh, we're going to kill you now." Useless.
Israel's Intelligence is very advanced.
Leaflets: I'd like to know how much time they give them... last I checked, people who try to escape end up being killed anyway. So that's useless as well.
Aborting airstrikes: That would be believable if there weren't so many civilians in hospitals or 6 feet in the ground, yeah?
Roof knocking: "giving them time to leave the site"... towards another site where they get shot/bombed anyway. Also useless.
Pinpoint strikes: "minimizing harm to bystanders".. woop-de-doo, bystanders are harmed. Useless.

U.S benefits by not doing anything about this conflict.

The U.S benefited before by not getting involved in the middle-east; for example when Saddam Hussein originally took control of the oil in various places... he offered U.S oil at $10 a barrel.... it would've been strongly beneficial then to just look the other way, did we? No, we pay roughly $105 now.

It has nothing to do with benefits/costs, the U.S does have it's feet wet in this as well as the state department has urged multiple times for both sides to reach a seize fire; but as I said the leaders need to be on the same page and not forced by anyone else.
