Greetings everyone!
Once again I feel like making a suggestion, this time about vehicle plates and current elevator system. So, here they come:
Vehicle platesWe all know them. So why not bring them here, where they can be both cool for showing off and useful for policemen while investigating a scene, chasing a suspect et cetera (related to
MDC idea). My proposal is to let vehicle owners set their own original plate on their vehicles and provide state vehicles with random 6 (not too few nor too much, in my opinion) character long plates (GV6914, AL2114, and so on, just examples). Each plate would be original, just like in real life.
So, for personal vehicles it could work like this:
1. Player A buys a vehicle at vehicle dealership, receives a random plate
2. Player A can either keep the plate or set his own plate with
/setplate [plate], where [plate] is to be replaced by 6 characters of players choosing (words, numbers, combination of letters and numbers). The first change is for free.
3. If player A wants to change his plate again, he has to pay the fee of $1000 (subject to change) at the dealership
or a PD, or a goverment building, for example).
For other vehicles:
Police cars: PDXXXX
Fire department cars: FDXXXX
EMS cars: EMSXXX
Taxi and other state cars: YYXXXX
X refers to a number, Y to a letter (YYXXXX could be for example WP1337)
In addition to that, state owned vehicles (PD, FD, EMS included) would not be able to get their plate changed - if you want your own plate, get your own car.
Now that we have plates, what are we going to do with them? One option is to have them written in your inventory next to your car ID, other one to use them in MDC should the idea get implemented. All players would be able to do
/seeplate [playerID] command in a certain range (10-15 metres?) to see someone's plate. This all might sound too complicated, sorry if you need to read it more than once.
ElevatorsThis idea is more like a minor change than an actual idea. The point is to add certain period of time between typing
/enter and being "elevated" (teleported). For example, there could be a 15 seconds waiting period in Majestic hotel, 20 in the Lion hotel etc. Though I understand it might be a bit complicated to add a waiting period at every place with an elevator...
So, this is it. Discuss, share you opinions, think. I hope I brought you guys something to think about in a constructive way, since as always, any suggestion is welcome!
