[Old idea] New scripted jobs

There are lot of topics made by players to ask if they can be more jobs... Many gave good ideas, but less explained how to... or related into a way of RP (togetter with other players).

!! BE SURE !! As stated in this topic, this jobs has a low change to be add. Reason: They need a new script (even sometimes it is small, it needs one). Be aware of this!

1) Hotdog seller.
When you are in your hotdog van (ID 588), you will be the seller.
when someone do nearby /buy hotdog (2m), he will be the buyer.
The buyer will lose 5$
The seller will get 5$ extra.


2) Ice cream seller
Same system for the iceream. Id of the van: 423
Now the command would be /buy icecream
The seller gets 2$, the buyer loose 2$.


3) Carbage man
You drive the Trashmaster (id 408)
You drive around the city. there will be spawning objects (ID's: 1264, 1265 Garbage bags) everywhere. and you need to take them away
/trashmaster (on/off carbage duty, can only be done in a Trashmaster)
/gettrash (nearby the spawned objects to clean the streets, object(s) will be away)
/trowtrash (can be used 2x nearby your house and bizz, will create an garbage object near your house or bizz)
Eveytime you collect carbage: you earn 2$
Eveytime you trow away trash: you lose 2$


4) Gardener
if you own a house with a garden, there can be flowers in it (id 2895), or grass that grow (id?) you can call an gardener to remove them. 100$ for cleaning a garden
/callgardener (to call one)
/gardener (on/off gardener duty, at a lawnmower)
/cleangarden (to clean the garden, from the person who called the gardener.
/growflower (admin command to place flowers)


5) Tree cutter
You'll receive a chainsaw, and you need to cut (scripted) trees.
Random trees will be spawn nearby forests (ID: 700-725), with yoru chainsaw, you need to cut the trees ("kill it"), 10$ for a cut tree.
/treecutter (on/off tree cutter duty, you reseive a chainsaw, or non by going off)
/planttree (admin command to spawn trees)


6) Mechanic
You'll became a riding Pay and spray. After beeing called, you head to the place that is announce, and you repair the vehicle back to his 100%
/towtruck (Will announce place where the vehicle is broken) [ALLREADY IN]
/mechanic (on/off mechanic duty, at GS's)
/repair [ID car] (repairs the car back to 100%, every second 10%, so the more damage to the car, the more time it takes to repair)
You'll receive $10 per 10% repaired. caller pays the price.

7) Fuel filler
You'll became a pump man. You supply cars with fuel, at GS's or with your big fat truck with gas! You need to drive a truck with the gazcontainer (id 584) if you want to do it not at the GS's.
/fillup [ID] (will fillup the car with 10% for $10/%)
/filluptank (will fillup your gazcontainer, you pay $10 per 10L, one container has 1000L (so you can fillup 10 fully empty cars)
No need to go off duty or on duty, grab a tanker an drive off, or just stand neary a GS...

8) Hooker
Bring back the hooker job. The game is based on drugs and sex. 50% is missed. Hooker jobs can create new other jobs like dancers.
/hooker (start the job, get off)
/sex (heals the target 10%)

To make the jobs more atractive: give the players a colored name and uniform:
- Icecream / hotdog sellers: brown (no costum need, you are still in the car)
- Trashmasters: dark green ID: 50, (260),
- Gardener: other green ID: 34, 158, 200, 201 (F)
- Tree cutter: Navy ID: 27, 151 (F)
- Repair man: dark purple ID: 16, 50 Yellow
- Hooker: Pink ID: 63, 64, 87, 138, 139, 140, 152, 178, 244, 249(M), 257, 256

Only one person does this roleplay, there is no serious demand for these scripts.

You've pretty much given the idea of a food vendor with the above idea.
And with the hotdog this opens a possibility to heal in combat.
Also nothing wrong with /me gives hotdog and /me hands him the cash.

Another job which will have scripts replacing the roleplay.
I have yet to see anyone roleplay a garbage man.
If anything we have ARA for that. ARA needs to have a street cleaner division. There is no need for scripted job. They can just add a street cleaner and a few more trucks.

Again, this is a script looking to replace roleplay.  Same as above.

Chainsaw in the hands of players is not a good idea.
It is another idea of where script can create the roleplay as opposed to script supporting the roleplay that was already established.

No one currently roleplays a fuel filler. So why make a script to try and encourage something people do not do. When you are at GS9 next time, offer a balla some dollars to fill up your car. why do you think they are there all the time?

Not needed.
Another job example of where script is made in an attempt to create roleplay
Players can buy kinky clothes. They have /dance. They can  use /ad. They can go to night clubs. They can do /ad . They have /me to give you a lap dance.
It gives possibility of heal in combat.
Sex is not able to physically heal your gun shot.

As of current Hooker is rare.

Simply adding a job such a was done with Mechanic does not mean there will be roleplay.

Thx for the reply Monte, as I do seems they are just negative from your side, I'll hope this can change your mind (or at least rethink what you've written):

- Hotdog and icecream seller: Agreed on most parts, this is a job that easiely can RP, without any scripts

- Garbage man: No idea how you replace the roleplay here, as they are simply non of the players ever been a garbage man (not that I saw yet).
ARA is for street workers if I'm not mistaken, has nothing to do with cleaning streets...
Roleplay example:
* Player A: Held a party, at the end of the event, he does /trowcash (ofc with the /me command etc)
* Player B: (the poor man who needs to work) get a message like "There is some carbage left in XXX on the streets. Please get away". Goes to the place and see the object, takes it. (could eventually meet some others from the party or the party planner for a tip...)


- Gardener: As above, it is cool to "see" your work. Player A bought a house, with a garden, before a party, he wish to clean all the flowers... (for a big tent maybe?).
In Glenpark there are 3 people watering the plants, make nice figures with flowers, other prefer to cut them all...


- Noone is doing the fuelfiller? Excuse me? If I'm not on admin duty, I'm doing it constantly. That is my extra income... And believe me, I'm not alone...


- The hooker job... I think you remember the Pig Pen in the past. Great parties, a lot of RP and a lot of events. If you forget, I'll have a memory from you.


For all this jobs: Mainly it is like a startup for newer players, or players who wants to do another job they always do...
I'll give you an example of myselve: I was 24/7 a cop. Nearly never did something else. I've now explored the mechanic duty, as "new player". I've made a name of the GS9 mechanic, who can repair a V8 motor with simple tools and bring back its full horsepower. I make my hands dirty by refilling tanks. 75% of my job is not made as 'mechanic' basicly.


As I reread your reply, I see there is non scripted jobs need? Just a skin and you can roleplay. /me and the skin will do...

Hotdog & Icecream vandor idea was already implanted in RS4 and was pretty successful in term to promote RP to give the buyer HP.
