Things in testing have gone well and HQ is now comfortable in restoring the SA:MP RPG server.

When you login again you will be asked to change your password this is because we have upgraded the security regarding your password. In the event of a breach of data again in the future, being able to decrypt the passwords will be nearly impossible. Zaila has done alot of work and all of the last minute things necessary are done. We're waiting for Gandalf to do the last step; once this is done SA:MP RPG will resume on: samp.argonathrpg.com:7777

If you have not done so already: Please change all passwords immediately.

Also remember: A secure password doesn't contain your name, birthday, government ids, family or pet names,
but does contain at least: 1 uppercase character, 1 lowercase character, 1 numerical character, and 1 special character
and is at least 6 characters in length.

Do not use incremental values like 123, 5678, 345, etc anywhere in your passwords.

Most importantly: It is strongly advised against using the same password as before.

Thanks for having patience with us while we work through another difficult event in Argonath and my apologizes for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Argonath has been attacked before, we may even be attacked again, but as a community we will continue on. Thanks again, and see ya when the servers are back up.

IV:MP was not directly affected by the attack, to my understanding they only took the server down as a precaution to prevent attack which was a very smart call on their end. Once they are comfortable in doing so I am certain they will resume service as well.

Once I got temp banned on TS for playing JB song in 2012

As Teddy said, the plan was to create a security patch which would increase the security, however that patch wasn't on the server for some reason when it was brought up.

As a result of that, i decided to put a password on the server, re-upload all the scripts and make a check so everything was working as it should be to avoid problems in the future. However, during the restart, something went wrong and the server didn't come back up again.

We have tried to reach Gandalf about it but looks like we will have until after the night before we can continue. But i promise that we will try as hard as we can to have the server back up as soon as possible.

Also, as a result of this breach, we had to roll back the database 4 days which means that data between 16th and 20th is lost. I'm afraid that any data between those days is lost forever as this is the best we could do.
