Okay, so. My settings don't save. My search engine is set as omega search, for some reason. And sometimes it goes to ask.com. Any idea on how to resolve the issue ?

Hmm, could be a virus. Run a scan just to be sure

Download malwarebytes(The free version) and run a scan

Other than that, do you remember when this started happening? Any programs you installed or anything that you ran at around that time? You could try reinstalling chrome, if it persists after that you may have a more serious problem.

Try going into Control Panel > Uninstall Programmes and see if there is any browser programmes in there like Ask, if there are uninstall them.

Uninstall chrome, delete the whole google chrome folder, install google chrome.

I would highly recommend you install anti-virus and anti-spyware software. That is likely not the only malware you have on your system.
