Guys if its over these specs

2.6Ghz Intel
128MB  nvid FX 5600
AC97
512 Ram
80GB Internal

its a good computer!

2.6Ghz Intel - mine = idk
128MB  nvidia FX 5600 - mine = same
AC97 - mine  = WTF?
512 Ram - mine = 2gb
80GB Internal - mine = 30gb(80 gig at start)

 and I like Haydens PC(it sounds kick-ass)

PS RPM?

Keep it 100

RPM - Revolutions Per Minute
Its how many time per minute the disk spins.

The faster = the faster your harddrive spits out the information your PC needs when it asks for it, thus having better performace.
:ps: Did you know a dental drill spins at 500,000RPM?

Like, for example.
IF you have a 8800 Ultra, 4 gigs of DDr2, & a quad core(may god forgive you if you did)
And you have 1 Harddrive that spins at 5000 RPM.
You will have a slower PC, because you have good hardware, but your harddrive cannot give your PC the information it needs fast enough, which comes to lag & other stuff.

You do not need to go out and purchase a Western Digital Rapter from Sata, with 10,000 RPM's, you will benefit from it, but a HDD with a 7200 RPM will do just fine.

Hayden's been pissed in the eye (assuming that he thought it was a gaming computer): he's got probably the world's worst graphics card that's still being sold in some form (in this case, integrated).

This oen works, its a very good PC, but not for the games i wanna play, i.e BF2, Cod4, etc.
Yes, i admit i got ripped, but its not bad, cause im only paying like 40 every 2 weeks for it.

:ps: he was talking about my new PC.
Look in Off topic, under 'What are some good games' you will see the specs :D

hmm.. your a bit wrong :)

RPM oly controls loading time, once everything is loaded, it all depends on the RAM. RAM holds information for a limited time (until a program is closed). so if you want faster overall gameplay, you need faster RAM

Sickness...

I have a 5500 7200 and a 12500 RPM HD on this computer..

I cant play SA on 5500 with out lag but i can play with out lag on th rest it takes 500MB 20 mins to get from the 7200 and 12500 .. But it takes 16 minutes from the 5500 to the 7200 and 10 mins to the 12500....  Thus.. it does affect the reading and righting So If your righting something on the Disc it takes a longer time than taking it off... :)... Yes the RPM Does affect the Loading time... no Once every thing is loaded... It can lag still Because it is reading the information Still... It doesnt store it on the ram... But it stores the most important parts of that Game... Say the gta3.img file :) and it reads it and then reads the hard drive for more info

im saying that RPM speed controls loadign time, and no.. you can ahve a 1 RPM hard drive and 2 gig of 6400 RAM ,

compared to a 60,000 RPM hard drive and 512mb 6400 RAM, the 2 gig system will be much faster..

only if your ram cant hold all the information (under 1.5 gigs generally) it will load real time (which loads and unloads as you move throughout the game and is bad)

no.
The Source engine is very hard disk active even when all the resources are loaded, and so are some other game engines, so hard disk speed is a small factor.

Takling about GTA SPecs?

I play with 1.8 GHZ Sempron 3000+
512 RAM
Geforce FX 5200
HDD 160 GB

I do NOT got problem playing GTA:SA with these specs. Whoever said if its a 5600 or higher, tahts lied.

GTA:SA runs fine with a Geforce 4 as well.

I did not get a modded PC etxept for the graphics card.
