Dark days are really upon us. - Closure / End of MTA:SA

Dear Sirs and Madams,

I think it honest to conclude that the community is heading for seriously dark places with the end of MTA:SA.

I think it is really not ok that whilst it was closed / the developers abandoned it? - not a word from anyone has come to the community, not even Gandalf has spoken, and this seems just wrong.

This only paints a picture that something isn't right and I'd like to know what is the real deal with the sudden loss of three developers and so - the closure MTA:SA?

The community is at real loss from the lack of MTA:SA. It may not have been as popular as SA:MP, but then and again where is SA:MP to be used as an example?

We need MTA:SA back, and if we can, the developers who left should come back too!
There's really no need for the closure of something which was a great part of the community.

It just does not seem at all right and it's as if there is something really wrong about the whole situation.
The previous announcement of the MTA:SA 3.0 project thread was just removed from sight over night leaving a good chunk of the community wondering wtf has happened.

There is real grief among parts of the community and because they can not get closure on the subject it is likely to blow up in the faces of us all.

So please can it be known what the actual f**k is up?

MTA SA has indeed been closed down and is not set to return under any circumstances at this point in time.

Yes, we want MTA:SA back online! What is the reason that makes the community worse by closing the one of the best scripted servers we had? I was playing on MTA:SA and playing in our server is used to make me enjoyed even if the player base is not high enough. Also our developers were doing very well to improve the server. We had plans, suggestions, new updates... And all of them are made for nothing?

Why? The source code of the project is property of Argonath. We actually own that code. Some devs should be able to re-open the server in less than an hour.

Just thought I'd post some legal considerations.

I'm sure if you did take it to a real world court / fill a copyright infringement case, like with the Bukkit fiasco, the developers would win an injunction (even if it wasn't an open source project).

The developers would have full rights to do that.

 In UK law, if you give something away you can still take it back if there was no money offered to the devs. It's their work not Argonaths and it would be just wrong to use their work without their wish or without them behind it.

It'd be an insult to say the least if what you suggested was done and no one wants that.

Oh ok, but I think the vision existed before the wiki though. I've seen it on the forums written by Gandalf/Aragorn/Legolas many years ago..

Uh being incharge of a wiki with the vision does not mean anything in regards to violating a vision. They may be hypocrites if they are but that's a feeble excuse.
