high ping (internet fine)

hi for over a month now, i have been encountering high pings on most online games i play including garrys mod, arma 3, samp, ivmp, 7 days to die etc. my internet is working fine however, speedtest shows expected results i.e 27ms ping and 4mbps speed (my internet plan). its a pain in the ass coz i either get kicked for high ping or get massive lags. any solution for this?

p.s - CS:GO runs great though, with nominal ping for all servers. but arma 3/garrys mod has all servers with 300+ ping. samp and ivmp also.

i did ipconfig /flushdns in cmd, used cc cleaner, restarted router numerous times, keep any unwanted applications closed during gameplay (like torrent etc). nothing worked

Try running the speed test on other countries and see your ping there. CS:GO automatically connects you to servers in your country/best ping servers while other games don't necessarily do that.

i used to have a normal 120-150 ping in the servers i played in the mentioned games above, like about a month ago. it started suddenly but i continued to to use it, see if it gets fixed within a month but it didnt. even in argo samp and ivmp i had normal pings until recently

tell me how to run a speed test on other countries though, dont know how to do it

Idk if it's only for us because charlie, kunal and me also having same problem. I used to have 150-200 ping on SAMP and now it's 390-500. My net speed is still the same and I tried most of softwares to clean registry or any other errors causing this....but still...

I'm also getting 300-800 ping from few weeks. Though my internet is working fine and i used to hack around 200 ping.

That 27ms ping is to the closest server near you that will accept speed tests. It is not a representation of servers world wide. E.g I live in Australia, Sydney. When I do a speed test, I get about the same as well. But that's for an Australian server. When you go to like European Servers, I get 300 Ping. Ping is a measure of latency or time taken to send a packet of information between client and host.

Only solution is to have a proper computer, good household Ethernet cables and a router which can run fast (most low end computers, wires and routers, can do this, no worries). Otherwise it is reliant on your ISP's type of wiring solution e.g ADSL, Optic Fibre, VDSL, etc... to the nearest telephone exchange (or that's how I think it works.)

ARMA 3 and Garry's Mods have servers hosted worldwide, no wonder you get ping of 300+. I do too. You can't do anything about it. It's a geographical/internet cabling issue. Unless your dad or mum is the ISP owner, no can do.

Also /flushdns, restarting router (only difference of 10-30 ping maybe..), using CC Cleaner and keeping unwanted applications closed doesn't help improve ping. They only keep your computer being able to run faster if necessary.

the servers i used to play on arma 3 and garrys mod had 130-140 pings before, now every single server has 300+ ping, even if its near to my location. same goes for argo samp and ivmp.

called my ISP, they say since the internet is running fine its not their issue. problem might be in game or something. i have n clue whats going on

I've lately having this high ping on SA:MP RPG Server while in other server I get a really normal ping...
