Knew that. That's why I usually keep myself away from this kind of talks.

We're going off-topic, but people who actually help do not try to tell tell everyone how they did and how much they helped.

Indeed, i was thinking the situation with new player DMers was out of our hands. But today, i helped a new player, that had no idea of RPG and was hitting randomly everyone and ramming. In 30 mins, he was like a regular player.

Don't blame the new players and say: it can't be helped they will always DM, blame your boredom that hasn't even once motivated you to help a new player, and then see how they will obey the rules. Like when you first joined Argonath, you were the most loyal to the rules player.

Im not against player hitting others, im against the fact that such players get a chance to hold a deagle, a nightstick, a spraycan with much ammo before learning of the basic rules.
A tougher SAPD exam or Passport necessity will solve this, atleast 50% of the problem. The remaining civilian DMers which constitute remaining half can be dealt with.

in 15 minutes, i got killed like 12 times today, and what, all by the same newbies or players, i was at amunation while buying weapons, he asked me if i could give him some, but first i checked his /whenmade, and when i saw that he's new, i didnt gave him a thing, he started to carkill me, then he went to the amunation, managed somehow to buy weapons, and he was constantly killing me, i think this needs to stop.
I support the idea that the player who is older than 7+ days, he can buy weapons

You are just throwing random and general accusations. Nobody said that people were bored to teach new players, and who did even tell you that they didn't try to?

When I joined Argonath I had no idea how to talk even, and it's a player who showed me the basics. If I wasn't given the freedom to use weapons, I wouldn't have all those punishments and bans back then. Think about it.

You can only teach new players who are here to play and not to cause shit.
But most of the new players who join the server are directly heading to an ammunation to buy weapons (they know the commands aswell) and start deathmatching - most of them are ban evaders.
I agree that new players can get guns too easy, and them I'm talking about SAPD duty, receiving weapons from regular players or being able to buy weapons.
Therefor, I'd suggest to block their possibilities to go on SAPD duty, receiving weapons or being able to buy weapons for a certain of time or until they receive their passport.

We do not need more rules or restrictions. Instead of writing this topic, you could have stepped up and helped the new players.

Umm.. Aren't you not part of the community anymore, Marcel?

Anyhow, I agree to the OP. Stop hiding behind the outdated shitty vision. Stop throwing it in our faces when it's convenient for you and voiding it when it's not. Strict policy towards this needs to be enforced.

He's on the forums so no, he's still part of it.
And no, no one hides behind the vision, it's  just that things have not changed a lot because it used to work.
I agree that things need to change, even though I love that fact that new players and old players are the 'same' in the eyes of Argonath. I still think there should be set several restrictions to make sure the player experience of the actual players that are here to roleplay, is not ruined by some people that just come and troll. I think quite some of us also started out with cop duty, being a bit rough, or being an armed mafia and shooting at people. That does not mean it should not be that way, but it means there should be restrictions towards it, so the new players keep the Argonath experience, but are not so 'overpowered'.

I'm here, i'm alive and i'm posting. Me being banned from the server will not prevent me from contributing to it, nor will it prevent me from having an opinion. Every manager+ will see that i'm actually not that much of a rulebreaker. In the end contributing to the community is what i'm here for.

He's banned from only one server, how does that make him not a part of the community? The community is more than any single server.

Anyhow on topic, I feel like this only carters to a specific type of new player... the ban evader coming on for some evening fun... I don't see punishing legitimate new players as a suitable option to be honest. Is this not correct?
