Happens with most of newbies, there must be restrictions till he gets a passport like-
You cannot buy a weapon without a passport
You cannot join SAPD without a passport

However he can still receive guns from a player. That happens in a case where the newbie is friend of player or he is a community member who joined RS5 and knows how to interact with players to buy guns.

obvious trolls and dmers should not define what happens for all new players.

Need for more admins and that is all.

Eveyone has his point of view and is free to express themselves in a civilized manner.

Some of you should realize that saying the same thing again and again it's getting boring as hell to read, honestly. Blaming others for not willing to help the new players is a silly excuse, neither yourself do it.

I agree with the idea of being able to purchase a weapon after you receive your passport as the newcomers would be experienced enough and known with the server rules. Anyway, why a new player should need a gun? Let's not forget you don't need a weapon to roleplay or interact with others.

It's not the issue of not enough admins, it's that it's hard to stop them before the act is done.

What do you expect them to do when you act like a retard, copbaiting, ramming and drive in circles. And then keep on going stabing them with a knife. /gu If you don't wanna die. And when you get in the car and die, you post a video about it? In this case, you are the one that should be punished

Read the damn PM's in the begining of the video smart boi.
and secondly , you clearly don't know the SAPD rules.
I simply took a knife and tried to record them "Suspecting" without a warn etc.

You would have got the same treatment from me.
You pull out a knife in public and expect cops to act like kindergarten teachers?

My opinion is to see what are the basic needs of the new players, and lower their income when joining($10k currently). Let's see, a new player will need basics like: GPS,CB,Phone(if i forgot something tell it) And a $1000-$2000 extra money, for other needs(gas etc.) So, if a new player would join, he would have less than 5k, that means he can't constatly buy weapons and such things. Then, he would have no money, and when he would ask for help, he would find out a job. By doing a job, he will understand some things, and then when he has made money of his own and have understand how RP and our server works, he will use his money more wisely in better choices. If new players want weapons we can't remove that right from them, but they have to work for it, and by doing that they will eventually realise this server is not DM :D What do you think of my opinion? :D

Tbh I dont give a shit about the PMs in the start. Its not your job to force someone to break a rule, when you are clearly doing it yourself. I clearly know the SAPD rules, most likely more than you will ever know them. And you kept on ramming them, I wouldn't give you a warning either when you act like a fucking retard

They don't have to warn you if they don't feel like. You already ARE breaking the law by brandishing a weapon. It's up to them whether to suspect or to warn you first.

I just answered the question.

I didn't even ask anything.

You can only teach new players who are here to play and not to cause shit.
But most of the new players who join the server are directly heading to an ammunation to buy weapons (they know the commands aswell) and start deathmatching - most of them are ban evaders.
I agree that new players can get guns too easy, and them I'm talking about SAPD duty, receiving weapons from regular players or being able to buy weapons.
Therefor, I'd suggest to block their possibilities to go on SAPD duty, receiving weapons or being able to buy weapons for a certain of time or until they receive their passport.

This.

No matter how hard you try there is always a way around this and there will be always new players that enter the server in a bid to DM or disrupt the ropleplay of others.

Point is, you cannot take the freedom of a new player who wants to be a cop. 9/10 people join and instantly want to be a cop. Good. This is when the issues do arise now. To prevent a new player joining and instantly suspecting and killing people is always what everyone says. Communication. Approach the person via PM or up front. If they speak english they will understand introduce them to the rules and regulations to SAPD. Also fill them in on what is good and what is bad within the SAPD.

In the long run the more and more you help the new players, the more and more your chances of becoming a Moderator are greater.
You cannot expect someone to join a fresh new server to them and then them to know how to play the game, they need teaching.

I am not a great one to take advise from considering my current state. But trust me, help others and you will be helped yourself in the near future.
Those who do this will always be the ones who are considered as dedicated candidates for the Moderator position.

In terms of the videos we have been shown they all have just considered of "no dm no dm" this is not english, this is short for DM many people may not know what that is nor, how to not do it. Also recording and provoking them in a attempt to get them punished is not fun and is just upsetting. New players are the new generation of Argonath, you teach them how to play and I guarantee you 9/10 they will stay.

People won't be obeying the rules, with magic, just by disabling the ability of having weapons in their early start. The most people that complain about it, are the ones that haven't tried to really sit down, and help a new player.Just deal with it, Players won't be magically turned into loyal players after 7 days(or whatever) of not having weapons. They need some help, or it's hard for them to adjust by their selves alone. When you get abused, instead of complaining, you should just take that guy and help him understand how RP and our server works. We wish, the problem was so simple and the solution was really disabling, in their starting days, weapons, but if that was the case it would have been considered seriously and would have been added.

I don't disagree, enterily with this. SAPD is really messed up with ARPD mixed up with them and players when they join, 10k$ is more than enough for them to buy any kinds of weapons they want without working at all.

You mean we should not even try considering how hard it is? Then we must also stop shift servers to new countries in a bid to prevent DDoSS attacks, which still happen after that.

Whats the logic behind,,, ""Help others and you will be helped?" Is there any guarantee or a scheme? Its a moral point and cant be proved

We all aree ready to help, but not players who come for slain DM? Why do newbies Dm? Why do they DDoSS? Why do they hack? For FUN.

"You cannot snatch their freedom of becoming cop"
We dont want to. Let him play for little no of days and he will learn the basics before going to DM others
Your words are like if i wanna get a license , "You cannot snatch the freedom of getting license". But the truth is there  is a test which i must be eligible for and pass or i will not get the license. Apply the same logic here, there is the need for little experience before you can own a gun.

Exactly.

To RP, you don't need weapons.

If possible, remove the money you get after the registration. If they'll have no money, they'll not be able to buy weapons etc.

Now, If they'll do jobs to earn money, they'll definately know about the rules and other regulations.
