Hackers going wild

If you have not noticed yet, there is an increase of hackers ingame, especially in my timezone, GMT+8. Yes we do have "Operation Jericho" but will that help against a strong hacker who can fly, have infinite health, speed hack, and weapon hack? I don't think so, I suggest admins taking shifts, or Argonath will be a night server for the Asians/Aussie soon.

You are right, there is a decrease in administration members online during the night times.  But they need sleep to you know. :P

But I do agree during these times there are hackers online and no staff members are online to stop them, and if there are none available at the time then we just have to face it as we can't do anything about it, I normally just leave the server and come back later.

Yes I do that too, this is actually the 5-7th day where I encountered hackers, I felt bad waking up a few admins like Andrew and Traser, I know there are some admins who is in the same timezone as us, that's not the matter, how can we contact the staff when this type of thing continues.

The most obvious solution is to recruit admins who live in GMT-8 timezone so there will be administration no matter what time of day it is. However, it is unfair to ask people who live in European timezone (almost all the admins) to take shifts in staying up all night long.. we've all got lives and we all need to sleep.

Yes it is unfair but we don't have a choice, it's not a good idea to let the hackers do what they want freely in the server, they are taking all the fun away from the players.

Then HQ should focus on recruiting admins that live in GMT + 8.. It won't be a disadvantage to, other GMT players, just it's obvious the server needs admins in that time. Of couse, admins shouldn't be demanded to stay up late, for hackers. In my opinion, it's the only solution to the problem.

If i need to work early and a whole day i need my rest, often i see the whatsapps to late, though i do not have any time at all to get to a pc or laptop and get ingame..

-flying time
-speed limit (if its above 270 the program would ban the guy)
And some other abusive things in sure it would help but there is also a bad thing , it might create some issue , well its wat I think

Shamal can get to 271km/h for like 2 secs and then back to 270..

That wouldn't solve anything regarding the amount of hackers / DMers on at night time, nor would it do anything to deter them from what they do.

We don't pay staff members nor could we expect them to sit on the server at night when they have other things to do.
Staff go in-game when they have free time to spend on there, not because they are told to be on at a certain time.

The lack of staff matter is being addressed by a recent moderator application wave.

In light of this I have volunteered to return as an admin temporarily until more people can be selected for this timezone. I'm awake and often on during these times.

Indeed. This will probably help the server to prevent hackers from trolling and such.
