The main problem is not copying from Movies, TV series, games, or other stuff. The main problem is people are copying from other Argonath based groups/families, but:

Argonath RPG was made nearly 10 years ago and was one of the first GTA-based RP servers. Try again!

AFAIK, Gandalf & Co were involved in something in the other RP server they were playing.. they got butthurt and made their own community. My point is they clearly had the mentality 'If these guys can make a RP server, so can we' which then fast forward 10 years later to Teddy's comment about originality.. I hope you can see the correlation.

Also, despite stating above that I feel it is indeed ambiguous, if you could clarify... which groups in your opinion show "originality" and if whether you actually mean a lack of originality in their name choices or rather if you believe a lack of originality exists in their role choices.

And if you want my opinion the mafia thing on Argonath is a copy-paste. It's not only a name. It's the same wrong actions daily, you do not roleplay what a mafia does properly. Every mafia that opens is doing the same thing the older ones are doing. Kidnap - robbery - threatening/bossing and nothing more. And if you feel offended, then you are probably not an exception in the list.

They ran another community before Argonath. The direction it was heading was not something they intended nor wanted therefore it was closed down. From the ashes came Argonath.

Anyhow - I think it's fine people use some family/group names from real life - as it makes it more interesting and passionate for new player; to be that Micheal Corleone from the Godfather trilogy, or a Soprano gangster from the HBO series?

As long as they just RP themselves into a sturdy character, I see no problem in taking names from movies, stories etc.

You have some wrong informations about Mafias. However, those "Copy Pasta" groups are the brands which identify Argonath RPG and keep the flow of the activity only up.

Everyone has their opinion which i respect but somethings are wrong. You are not the one to give us examples of your group which lasted 2-3 weeks: Im not saying that you had bad group but it's over, it's not a succes story to be considered, seriosly. So please, no examples with screenshots of what you did lol.
