What about the security of our accounts?

A persons account security comes down to the individual themself. If they updated their password to something different then there should be no issues.
It never hurts to update your password from time to time.

Why not recruit people from the timezone in which administration is inactive and let them keep the peace? There's more than enough people willing to do it, moderating and censoring the forums like this is basically going all North Korea on us. One of us fucks up, the whole family gets sent to a camp.
That hacker/rulebreaker or however you call him is only going to see his goals achieved as this is probably what he wanted.

Would the same action have been taken if the attacks were aimed at a non-ranked/sponsored player in the community?

I suggest you to start recruiting forum moderators as soon as possible, get enough of them so every post is approved as soon as the user clicks the post button.

You don't have the power to moderate 100's of replies each day, this is ridiculous.

And how do you know that? We are more then 15 board moderators, it's not gonna be that hard....

All you have to do is to show some patience to see your post on the forum :D

I believe Argonath will be back as soon as the exams are over.
SA:MP server is currently in a decent state with a stable player base of around 20-25 people on a daily basis.

If it reached to this extent, yes there is a possibility we would.

What are you trying to say? If he attacks a player by using the community, he attacks the community.

This should be a concern of the administration. It's time to take responsibility for the consequences instead of blame shifting on who should take care of what. We entrust you with our credentials. If there is a security concern, a system-wide password reset should be required. It's Security 101.

This, times 10. We have the active players and need someone to moderate during all time periods.

My suggestion would be to create a new rank, for newly registered forum accounts that limits/restricts the individuals forum "powers".

If that was possible, you would in the end have the veterans able to post how they wish(politely as always), and the new accounts on hold for the attack moderations?

Was done already, players decided to use their old, faulty password even though being told a hundred of times to change it.

'Veterans' are being hacked due to the fact of using old, breached and leaked passwords. Hence we have decided to do it like this.

I guess I won't be visiting the forums for a while.  :gand:

Isn't there a way to deactivate everyone's accounts, then when they login in they have to verify their account via their email linked to the account, only then will they be able to login, as soon as they go to login they will be prompted to change there password, to something else..

I don't know if it would work but it is just an idea I thought of.
