Controversial topic, AoD maintained a high roleplay standard for a long time and almost all members have clean punishment history yet they're not official. Seems like it's just based on which group has the most staff members.
Alright, seeing the Angels were brought up, I think it's more than reasonable to state my opinion on this.
We've had the recognized status quite a few times, we lost it. I don't have a clean punishment history, I've had my fair share of punishments, I'm not a saint. We've applied for recognized status last time we had a boost in our activity, we were told to wait and that we're under review, we kept meeting the requirements for long enough, we were promised IG mapping too. None of that happened. However that does not matter.
We do not have a ton of members, everyone in the Club who's Prospect+(For people unfamiliar with MC rankings, that means Trial+) has been a member for over an year. It's no secret, we screen our members for long periods, people might be Prospects(trial members) for AoD for months, yet not earn a spot as a member. We're picky of our members, and quite frankly I'd rather have 7 people who are members of our group, active or not, but are loyal to us, rather than have an unorganized bunch of people who we keep just to meet our activity.
Group status never had a significant meaning to us. We do things the way we've always did. Unrecognized, official, unofficial or recognized, we've made up our reputation. People know us as -the- Motorcylce Club group for Argonath. We do our best to keep our reputation, you won't see us riding around in Buffalos or grind meth, weed or get in massive shootouts. Prior to the last protest we organized, my last shootout was in 2014 I believe.
This is not the topic to discuss us, we have our own topic, if you wish to state something about us, feel free to do it in the Angels of Death's topic. The Highway Runners have their own way of doing things. Their status was earned some way or another. For me they are this little MC, once known as a group of 3-4 new players who used to beef with the Lost MC, while AoD and the Lost were in a massive group war. They've grown into one of the only official criminal groups for SA:MP, one way or another.
AoD is not Argonath's typical group. We do not care about status, nor the amount of money we have, members' IRL nationality or past group history. We're not easy to join, not much veterans can be accepted in, let alone new players. We're not going with the vision and I believe that's why we haven't been granted much privileges as a /group. But that does not matter. So please, don't get us involved in something we ourselves don't want to be involved in. We're fine as we are and can only get better.
Kind regards,
TheGreasyChopper, AoD President.
Please keep this topic to HR and HR related manners.

PS: Regarding members of the staff bringing a status to the group. We've had admins in the AOD. We've had Johnny Gatt serve as an admin for a while, stepped down to focus to the group. Void was a member of the AoD long before and after helping create the IV:MP part of our community, we've had EliteTerm who is known for his history as a staff member. Bas has been in our group for long enough both as an admin and a member. We've had UC high ranking staff members hanging around and joining us. Salmonella was a part of the admin team for quite a while. If we have to go through that, we had enough members who were part of the staff. But prior to all, they were members of our group. They did not go asslicking anybody for group status. We are recognized one way or another by the people, so let us do what we do and let HR do their own.
PSS:
3. formed in 2010 when HR was formed 5 years later
Make them 6, AOD started in 2009.
