For long we've been forced to suffer with nomad technology within the state, a difficult and challenging experience which as made life seem simple and boring. It's time to solve these problems with the introduction of the digital era.
The Digital Era updates will be an upcoming 6 part update which will include the additions of various new modern-era inspired technology.
Phase 1: Foundation and Core
This update will have little to no visual or interface-able features, it'll be the equivalent of the building of the infrastructures and communication grids required to sustain digital era technology.
Phase 2: The Internet
This update will again have little effects and will mostly be a fundamental core. It will however include the introduction of the PDA which will enable users to create custom memos, as well as schedule reminders.
Phase 3: Advanced Internet Protocols
This update will actually create "IP Addresses" tied to each property which will enable properties to access the Internet and communicate over the information grid. This update will be the last fundamental core update and will be th beginning of interface technology, permitting users to interact with technology systems.
Phase 4: The DarkNet Expansion
This will be an internet Interface update which will include hacking technologies. No more information is currently available intentionally. Information about the DarkNet can only be exchanged on the DarkNet and within in-RP.
Phase 5: Miniaturization
The Internet will be revamped and shoved into a little pocket device known as a smart phone. Due to expected updates in the future version of SA:MP, we may hold off on advanced interfaces. Smart Phones will carry the capability to communicate over 2G, 3G and 4G (depending on coverage).
Phase 6: Media and Social Craze
The final phase will introduce social media web and mobile technology, as well as media (news media), advertisement media, and more. Little information is available as it has not yet been fully planned out.
