Opinion about Grove Street Families in general

It has come to my attention, more and more lately, that people consider GSF a 'combat out of ass' family and things such as that. Since we opened it we tried to improve ourselves and people around us.  We tried to roleplay our characters realisctically and keep the roleplay alive on argonath and i believed till recently that we as well succeed, but obviously people do not agree with me.

I would like to see what the others think about Grove Street Families, what could we do to improve ourselves and what do you mind the most about GSF

Get rid of the clantag and go with firstname_lastname. You either do it good or not at all.

I do not exactly where this thought came from, but i rememberd the time RS5 had no Roleplay at all or at a all time low, this time we (Re)started GSF, and upped the RP level, and after some weeks/months other players and groups starting to up their RP level etc.

Now we are a little more inactive due to allot of members having a good Real life, we try to maintain the RP standard, but we are confronted with new groups being hostile, NBA/Ballas trying to overrule their position etc, we are not against that, but we want GOOD Roleplay.

But in your eyes, what do we do? what do we do good, what do we do wrong?

About the name thing, we all have our roleplay names, the in-game name means nothing really. I had shit from a lot of ppl cos i was [GSF]J for some time, and i did that simply cos when i meet people (talking about roleplay scenes) i always inroduce myself as 'J' or 'Big J' yet when i meet them again they all call me 'Jov'

Stop relying on the opinions of others to determine whether or not you're doing good as a group. The leaders of GSF know as well as anyone else what improvements need to be made, what members need to be removed (if any), and how to properly roleplay and continue to strive for better roleplay in their group, and contributing to the community.

This is a huge problem where everyone relies on the opinions of others to be successful as a group and that is a huge misconception. Do what you know how to do, you can only control certain aspects of your group, and the opinions of others is not one of them. A famous quote I've always lived by and should be practiced by others is this: "The opinions others have of you, is none of your business."

Of course I understand that completely and I wouldn't take that right away from you guys. It's just an adhered warning, don't fixate all of your energy on the opinions of others. Personally I've always liked GSF, and I don't know where the ideas of to simplify it, a DMing group may have emerged, but I never saw that in GSF, and I can't possibly believe that to be true.

I guess moving forward, take a look at your members and how they act ingame, this doesn't only mean in RP scenarios, but see how they interact with others in main chat, on the forum, attitude problems that start out of a roleplay scenario, for example in a general discussion in chat, can easily transpire into bad behavior in roleplay scenes. Besides member management, I don't see an issue.

You're all good and I like you to the fullest. From what I've seen, you're doing pretty good and it's fun to see you guys around.
You got a lovely neighborhood with a lot of possibilities and with the new drug script incoming, you should to your things carefully and wise if your direction will be more focused on that area.

I can feel that Grove Street Families should be renamed and recreated to something related to 2015. It feels a bit outdated, imo.

But I never felt or seen you guys as death matchers. Dunno where that came from.

And indeed, that could be something, but that would be a future introduction, we are based (if not the same) as the [GSF] from 2007, that's why we still use the same Tag and name.

You all get tired in a foot pursuit, trip over something or RP our baton hits.
