Now, after the server resetted today recently, cop cars had their fuels all returned to 100. However, cops frequently used the cars to patrol LS. The problem is, after they are finished being used, and they respawn at LSPD, they turn out to have little fuel. After a few hours, when I tested each cop car, almost all of them had rarely any fuel. Since I don't want to spend money on refueling, me, and ghost, were getting really frustrated about the cop cars and having no fuel at their spawning place and that we were forced to spend money on refueling the cars or getting a non-cop car, which is a problem since they don't have any sirens to aid in pulling over civlilians whenever nessecary.

Me and ghost have suggested that if the cop cars were left at spawning place for like an hour, they should have their fuel tanks refilled to full.

Everytime i get a Cop Car it has around 60 Fuel which is enough for a Routine Patrol around LS.  It's more the Cop Bikes for me that have no Fuel but yeah it's annoying when all cop cars are Near Empty.  Like Omri said Call a Towtruck.

REPLICA.

I hope you are just joking on that, because that definitely does not solve the problem. First of all, it is a waste of time to wait for a towtruck to come. We could be chasing a suspect rather than to just sit for 5 minutes waiting for some tow truck to come. Second of all, you still have to pay money to refuel the cop cars. As I mentioned in my post, we don't want to waste money everytime we get in cop cars just to refuel cars. Tow trucking is just an even slower process since we are just waiting longer just to end up paying even more money. (Paying the towtrucker)

Rusty, you must've picked up a certain instance where the cop cars had fuel. It is not "everytime" that there just 1 cop car which has some fuel. Even then, it will be annoying for the next cop who goes on duty, because you took the one with fuel, and since the others have no fuel, it will get really annoying. I've played as a cop quite a number of times. About 8 out of 10 of the times I go to the cop carpark, every cop car has less than 30 fuel, and not to mention, 80% of them having less than 15.

The problem is that everytime a cop goes on duty, they have refuel the cop cars because they always turn out to have no fuel. This is all just time taking and money wasting. The cops could be chasing a suspect when they hopped in the cop cars, but instead they are either going to the gas station, or looking for a local non-cop car to start the pursuit with. Cops should not have to experience these problems everytime they go on duty. They should just be able to get in the cop cars, and start looking for suspects immediately after they get in a cop car.

rofl, pimp. But if everyone does that, then the SF cars will have no fuel as well. :) Besides, it doesn't solve the time wasting problem.

What is this meant to achieve? Waste more money and more time, why you think Trobby made this topic?

That is highly unpractical and a total waste of time to go to a totaly different area just to get a cop car with fuel. Moreover it would not look right or be very rp to have a bunch of cops patrolling LS in SF cop cars. Also certain ranks of police cannot go and just take cars from other departments without permission from a ranked superior.

PiMP, making a whole bunch of people change department to counter a fuel and vehicle availability is not very practical.

You said it all, too much people for the vehicles available, while in other cities there isn't people at all.

lmao, idts...

Well, IRL, cops do not actually pay for their fuel, or they do, but they have the money refunded from the company or through paying less tax to the amount of that you payed for the fuel which still means "free fuel". This means you could just make a way so that if you have to spend money for fuel as cop, you can claim it back at the PD. Alternatively, just make cops pay nothing at fuel station.

But, everything has to be equal between players... so if you take off gas for one group, then you take it away for others. I work as a medic, and when gas gets low on it I have to refuel it, does that mean I should get free gas too? Also, if you want to pay the IRL card then... IRL cop cars do not magically get fuel back, also the cops themselves must take of the responsibly to refuel the cars.

Also, what time do you really need to save? There are hundrads of cops are ready and I'm sure they are already on the suspect, and by the time you get gas he will still be a suspect, unless busted or he died of natural to unnatural effects.

And, we all have problems with money and refueling are cars, just bust more criminals then you use gas, or take a walk every once and awhile...

Hundreds of cops out there chasing suspects, because they have taken all the cop cars which had fuel. Now I have been left out and I need to refuel the cop car which was left because it had no fuel, spend money, and waste time doing something, which could've been solved if cop cars could get their fuel if they were left unattended for a long time. Where's the part where players are "equal" with each other here?

Do not get magically get fuel back? In the roleplay server, it's not "magic". We can assume the chief has refueled the cop cars for the cops so that it is more convenient for us to get to duty as quickly as we can. That can be considered in real life, can't it? Besides, we did not mention the cop cars left in the middle of the desert were to "magically" be refueled. We only mentioned the cop cars that have been left in the PD carpark to be refueled if they were left there unattended for like 30 minutes.

Ok, let's try the going to another PD's case. 1st of all, it is timetaking. How long does it take to get all the way to LV or SF from LSPD just to pick up a better cop car and come back to LS to go on duty? About 5 minutes? That is even longer than the time taken to go to the fuel station in LS with the LS cars. Also, how will they get up there? Use their no fuel cop cars in LS? Or get a non-cop car and travel all the way up there just to solve a problem which could've much more easily solved by simply making the cars get their fuel if they were left unattended for quite some time?

A less obvious problem, which many people won't notice with going to another PD's scenario, is that if the people left behind with cop cars with no fuel all go to LV and take and use the cop cars there, eventually the cop cars in LV will also suffer the cop cars with no fuel problem. The problem probably sounds small because it always happens in LSPD and not in the other depots. However, if everyone doesn't hang around LS, and that 10 people hand in SF, LV etc. then the fuel problem would not just be in LS, it would be in all the other PD's. This is because, instead of just the LS cars being used everytime, it is all the cop cars. Thus going to another PD does not solve the problem, instead, it makes the problem even wider.

Maybe another way to solving the problem is that people should refuel their cars before putting them back in the PD. But this is not possible in all cases. Sometimes, the car might suddenly explode or fall in the water during the pursuit, making it impossible to refuel during the process. Thus when they respawn, they will become cop cars in the PD with very little fuel.
