Am I the only one here who is against this proposal?

One or two months ago, to be more accurate right before argonath latest birthday, we had big wave of those events such as: Destruction derby, Escape the shamal etc etc. So those kind of events were running for few days at maximum activity possible, until the admins who were hosting those event ran out of founds or they went inactive. During that period we educated a long list of players with mindset of those events so once the events stoped they don't find anything intresting to do in our server now. Also there still are certain players asking sometimes "We had any event?" and then /q. I wish that you were active during that period to see the bad effect that those events caused in our Roleplay server. We had in RS4 similar events but we had another player count and we had players that know to make the difference.

Such events should be stopped. Destruction Derby, it actually happens IRL as well, so we could let that slip in, while Escape Shamal is fun, but bullshit and should be stopped.

We need to see more events without a prize, yea' they should be encouraged.

If only people entered events without a prize. Most of the time, it's 3-5 max.

100% agree, events that have no RP in them like plane surfing events and such shouldn't be allowed. Events like paintball, House parties(dance contest etc), Marathons, Fight Club are great examples, they're events that promote roleplay not just standing there and moving around hoping you win. There are so many different things you can do for an event, be creative. But not stupid.
