ATTN: Hotmail, Live, and Outlook.com users. Not getting emails?

Hello,

We have been aware of a problem with users getting emails who use any Microsoft email variant (hotmail, live, and outlook) service. We have not yet identified the cause but have a solution by users which has been reported. In order to solve this, simply add "[email protected]" to your contacts and it'll permit the messages to come through. Until we have a proper fix this is the only viable solution we have.

I've noticed delays on another email provider also, but it is usually only for certain email notifications while others are received almost instantly.

It delayed for me too, I just got an e-mail yesterday as a reply from a report I sent in March. Not in the spam folder though.

The sender email is .com however the smtp account seems to be .eu. There is some inconsistency there. Even though both go to the same IP address, DNS records matter here too. One of the most made mistakes can already be found here. The .eu DNS got no SPF record, which means some mail services might already see this as spam only due to no SPF record being present.

The SPF record from the .com DNS should be copied to the .eu DNS. Also make sure it is in TXT record as now with the .com DNS that seem to not be the case. Last thing is that MX records from .com point to different servers than .eu, not sure about this one, but it might also make mail services think badly about the mail.

I've tried this. However about 80% of the time i dont get the email.
