Cop rewards for getting rid of weapons

Cops should be rewarded for different weapons than colt / shotgun while /restock'ing.... this would give more incentive to newbie freecops to get rid of the stashes they come across than going back to them as civilians....and just makes sense overall lol....though the rewards should be very small so people don't use it to sell their own guns

I'd much prefer a working evidence locker system that FBI could use in future for busts though, but let's not give axxo even more work

This would probably work better and would be little additional work to get going. The only question is if there should be any mechanics like being able to take evidence out of the locker, and if so, how would it be restricted.

Yes the idea is just like IRL, higher ranked VCPD officers could take evidence in order to use it for bust. Of course when nobody's watching one could just take it and sell it on street, then VCPD would have to investigate who could possibly take it, interrogating various criminals.

Well if we have an evidence locker then anything that can be packed into a briefcase can be put in it.

So basically:

• Any officer can deposit anything into an evidence locker for compensation. (I'm guessing value of contents * some ratio)
• Any FBI Agents+ and VCPD Sergeants+ can view locker inventory but can't remove evidence.
• FBI Special Agents+ and VCPD Captains+ can remove evidence from lockers and destroy them.

Good or nah?

I think it'd be better if both agents and sergeants could actually take the evidence for drug busts etc, that would create interesting scenarios where agents can go rogue, though some special rule would need  to be made so that once he's sued and gets captured all of his money would be taken away....or something....lol. Also realistically there should be a limit on this, because the evidence quartermaster (whatever this guard guy is called) won't just let agents take a whole warehouse with them because it is too suspicious.

This would be a cool addition, and maybe there could be a small option to include a description for any evidence you store.

That way, when the next person examines the evidence it would give them a 'file' detailing the origin of the weapons/drugs/other seized items, the incident and possibly suspect names.

Would encourage multiple people to work together and cooperate to get to the bottom of a case.
