As some of you may know, 0.4 supports mapping (to some degree and with some restrictions....) for a long time now. Sadly we didn't have any mappers before thus there wasn't any progress in the time that has passed, but now me and Rapture officially started working on some new content - scroll down for previews, but here's a small FAQ first:
1. SO WHY NOBODY MAKE THIS BEFORE MARCUL/RAPTUR PLS TELL ME HUH U LIL BICH WHY??????????IT LOOKS LIKE U JUST PUT SOME OBJECTS IN AND ITS DONE RIGHT??????????
No, despite seeming easy it's actually really, really tedious to do, and the fact there's barely any walls / floors / roofs that we can just copy-paste makes our job even harder. In order not to rely on custom buildings / objects (that would, in short span of time, increase the server's required download to quite huge amounts) we have to do some nasty workarounds with buildings, such as......putting buildings inside buildings then creating interiors out of them. Yeah. Don't ask.
2. Are you planning to have interior system samp style?
Yes, that's what we're working on
3. Will there by any other map additions?
Yes, we will also work on private gates for properties soon, as well as basically just things improving the map, fixing various nuisances (like a garage in Starfish that you can enter on foot but it doesn't open to cars....etc) stairs for VCPD roofs in order for more heli availability, and similar
4. Can I give you my feedback?
Yes! We always need ideas what to do / where to put something etc, just don't complain about basic things 'BUT WHY THIS TEXTURE FLICKERS SLIGHTLY?' because like I said, if you want perfect interiors we'd have to work 5 hours on each, and the server download load would quickly turn to about 100mb.
