I agree with Manoni there. I along with many others have grown up. I try to dedicate my time either studying or playing/creating music. The school factor does contribute to this issue as of now but it'll go away starting next month i believe. I was on vacation the past few days and just came back. Ill now start getting school supplies and make myself ready for whats coming this year. This all takes time. Though i'm sure there are people who will come back, including me.

I've seen changes on the server and i like them but as KHM said. There is lack of motivation. I go ingame and all i usually find is people driving around. Alot Less players roleplay these days. But its not they're fault anyways.

The most of the players are indeed playing on SA:MP but do not forget VC:MP has allot of players too, i hope we will gain allot of new members trough GTA:MP, and don't forget we have some players that only visit the forum and don't play any server.

I stepped down from my position as an administrator because I simply don't have the time to contribute my services in game any longer. I am still a very active member of this community just in a different way where I spend a lot of time on the forum and giving my input in a different kind of way that doesn't involve in game interactions. The only reason I can do this is because browsing the forum is something I can do while I'm at work, I can't exactly download the game on my work computer and go play, nor do I have the desire to do so if it was readily available for me.

None of us can stay young forever, as much as we would all like for that to happen. I started playing Argonath in 2009 when I was 15 years old, and now 6 years later I turn 21 in October, while some may still identify myself as a young adult, I still inherited responsibilities with a full-time university schedule at 15 credit hours, and a full-time job, and for me personally I also now coach a 11 year old baseball team because I cannot play any longer due to injury. But point being made, as we grow we also develop responsibilities and ultimately you have to make a decision as to what is more important in your life, developing yourself for the future, or continuing to sit behind a computer and play a fictional game that may or may not have an impact on your future.

Now that's not to take away from anyone that still plays, believe me I use to be there too where I spent hours upon hours in the server, but it's just something that I don't have time to do anymore, and believe me when people say that Argonath is hard to get away from, they aren't lying. If I could go play in game I would most definitely do it, which is why I'm glad there is still a forum that is active because it allows me to remain active in some sense as a community member now rather than a player.

(Oh and by the way, just a little bit of my humor so please don't take offense... 1776 post which for you history majors was the year the United States of America aka greatest country in the world was founded!  )

The question is: Why and how we've Become in this?

There are so many reasons, so many ''subjects'' i'll just post what ever comes in my mind at first place.

I don't actually enjoy heavy role-play servers, but I think that we must ''transform'' this server into a heavy rp server.
 
That's what role-players want, they don't want to be limited, they want to do WHATEVER real life offers, they wan't to feel like there is no-one who can control their acts, if they're good role-players, it's not if they kill someone that they don't know how to roleplay or they should be banned. New players login, and just insta-leave Argonath because they join into another RP server (which their community is worst than argo).

I don't know, it's just boring, playing with only 15 players (peak-time) it's like working on McDonalds. We need those players who invite their friends which invite their friends etc.
I just dunno what to say unfortunately, because i know that no one will give a fuck about what i'm saying. Also who's actually ''leading'' (not all) the game, is just acting retarded. Yeah, now you'll start saying ''omg don't come with players vs admin blablabla'' go fuck yourself ok? It's one of the facts and truths, lead with it. (also sometimes what's happening is:) Players got abused but they can't do nothing against admins because they are ADMINS who abuse and says infront of the f**cking computer ''muahaha look at me leading this shit''. Most of them just don't listen to US, to our community members, even who's actually retired. Now? Now we lost them all, old players who gave a lot for this community and entertainment of the server, who are probably playing at this moment at another server, they found a leader at another community probably.

 If someone says that he is sorry, f**cking FORGIVE HIM. Give him another f**cking chance and just unban him. I'm not saying to unban the player in 2 hours or so, but half a year? What the fuck? It's OBVIOUS that the player WON'T play in here anymore, not because he isn't loyal or ''doesn't deserve to play here'' But he got a life, maybe he will just keep playing sa:mp for more one year or so, YOU DON'T KNOW, if he returns to play at argo, feel lucky. So many shits happening that I dont need to say because it was already said, but as always, no one gave a fuck about it.

there was a post that i've made once: '' bring back combat-shotgun'' It's okay, I do understand some players point of view etc, and I do respect that but i'll talk about leaders excuses: the main excuse it's just STUPID ''to reduce DM'' - won't comment it -shits and decisions like that just kill the server. EVEN Gandalf agreed with me, i can't understand why did they agreed with that at first place. Isn't he the owner?

This is how we used to treat banned players, everyone said sorry and they all got unbanned, but what happened? Nothing, they got unbanned and continued where they left. Sure some people are actually sorry and won't repeat it, but 90 per cent of the people just continue doing what they used to do. I actually like the longer bans, it learns the people that not everything is acceptable, and sometimes I still find some of the ban reviews to be a bit short. But then again, we all have different views. I rather have people actually think about what they've done, and learn from it, and not repeat it in the future. Than 2-3 people in the server that rule-break and ruin the experience for others. I'd rather see a guy banned for a month or two, and learn something, than people leave/ get annoyed/ start flaming because that guy DMs him/ her again, and then they both get punished, and we lose even more people.
