Keep in mind the push to RS5 was forced due to lost RS4 data. It was nothing to do with server HQ but the owner.

Since drugmarket was introduced, players are lost.
We never had it in RS4.1 yet price drugs raised from 10-15$/g to more than 80$/g.
People were selling drugs to each others constantly.

Now people buys massive amounts of drugs and want to sell it directly to the drug market.
It was not designed for that purpose. It was designed to remplace Managers buying it when you have so much that you don't even know what to do with it.

Anyway, I won't go into that discussion once again as the drug script is being remade.

Wait, what's the difference between those two scenarios?

In RS4.1 people were selling to each other constantly, yet at the end all the drugs went to few drug lords, who were selling to managers.

In RS5 people are selling to each other constantly, yet at the end all the drugs goes to few drug lords who are selling it to drug market

Since RS5 misses some of basic features like bizz profit, drug profit, proper drug system since it's release, people complain about it as it doesn't pay off. There were many many more people doing drug business in RS4 than now. And now, those who do it, they make it depend on one simple command - /groups. Be in SAPD, FBI or any of those "no i dont business wit u bye", so simply nobody bothers to deal with it anymore.

Anyway, I won't go into that discussion once again as the drug script is being remade.

Before you release a new one make sure you fix the current one...I've contacted three Developers/Managers who I asked to look into some script faults, yet noone did anything. Everyone passed the ball to the other one...And still no feedback or results...And still the AoD's highest price per gram we ever got was 35$(have in mind that other groups rarely have anything under 35$ from what I've heard, all prices vary around 40-50$)


But let's not derail the thread...There is little to do on Argonath, and that is why the playerbase is so low. We haven't had any new features to keep us interested in quite a while. Come on, when you were little and you open your toybox, you play with it for a month and leave it behind, but once your parents get you a new toy, surely you'll return to the toybox, wouldn't you?

Well, I suggest all of you read all of Frank's posts in this topic, all of them.

Plus, the freecop system should be back, mostly new players and others want to be a cop when they join the server, why not fullfill their wish, they wanna be a cop, then let them be it.Plus, we should always help new players and introduce them to the server. We should give them much respect and the best attitude, so if they like us and the server, hopefully they will join, and maybe invite their friends too and advertise the server on other websites.

I am neutral on these scripts etc... in RS5 now, I am focused to help new players and to try to make Argonath's popularity and population to grow.

Bored because there is no RP or something? Try finding others to RP with them. If you can't find others to RP with, then RP with yourself.  RPing with yourself is better then being AFK or not being AFK and doing nothing.

We need to make Argonath's popularity and population grow, if we have more and more players we will have more people to have fun with and then, guess what, you won't be bored a bit, well I don't know about others but I surely won't be bored if Argonath's popularity and population grows.

The drugs aren't something that should be overlooked, or totally removed, as the other developer team did. Drug script has a huge impact on criminal groups, which have a huge impact on the server's population.

Yes, GTA SA and SAMP and maybe I think MTA SA are old games.

But I have just seen, that there are atleast 100k players on SAMP online right now. And there are atleast 10k or more servers online. Yet, there are atleast a (I am not joking, this really is the result) about a million available player slots available currently now.

So yeah GTA SA,SAMP and I think MTA SA are old games, but they are great games, but old.

Do you think before a building is demolished to build a new one, the old one is fixed up first? Why would we fix the current script when it's being entirely scrapped and replaced with a newer and better system? Highly illogical.

I can't really relate... I had an engineers brain since I was young. Parents would get pissed, I got a new toy and I would take it apart, learn how it works, and try and put it back together. Often, being young, I couldn't get it back correctly so didn't do so well with have a large toybox, was more of a scrap box. But I at least get what you are saying. You want new toys.

The previous scripting team, was egoistic and stubborn in their suicide scripts solution, and the HQ  was sad to say, acting the same way.

Quite the opposite, if you really knew what you were talking about. You've seen one side of it, not both. Unfortunately I can't utter myself so much about it due that I'm respecting confidentiality. I won't state everything that was said behind closed doors.

As for laziness and stubbornness, I was really neither of them. I resigned from my position in early RS5 due that I literally had no time to manage a community and work full time in a restaurant. I received an honourary rank by Gandalf for my service as a manager and I was allowed to help out whenever I had the time and I did. As there was no leader at the time Gandalf took contact with me and we consulted and came to a consensus that Devin was the person to have as a leader.

Devin was the one who kept most together and spent most of his free time on Argonath and did everything he could do with his hands. But they couldn't reach to every corner unfortunately.
