GTA IV is better than GTA V (apparently)

I might, is IV:MP stable yet? I have the game but the last time I joined, a couple years ago probably, I kept crashing every 5 minutes... That's what made me stop playing.

It's not crashy as it used to be for you but T3 is the lastest official release considered "stable", sometimes it may crash too much but if you are lucky enough you will play 2-3 hours without crashing
However keep in mind  that IVMP will drop your framerate badly for no reason occasionally (a relog fixes it), just in case you want to give it a shot :P

What about GTA IV on W8.1/10? I remember that I had issues running it (just did not start), tried google it and everyone was like "if you don't have W7 etc you might aswell give up"?

Currently running W10, got both disc and Steam GTA IV!

as you can see in the IV:MP support board lot of players had issues with W10 but managed to solve them, i suggest you to give a look there

GTA IV is much better than GTA V, I never liked GTA V more than IV. If we can get a propper clinet like SAMP, it would be the best game ever :P
