How does nVidia do in video-editing? That's going to be an important factor also.

you don't need such good GFX card for video edition.

Any medium grafic card does that well. I think that ram is more important for video editing.

Well, not just putting sequences together with cut, copy and paste. I mean editing the sequences themselves, with Adobe After Effects and Combustion for instance.

Yes, yes, but unless they are very elaborate 3D effects it wont use the GFX.

Well, I heard graphic cards that are made for video-editing have a different structure than the ones made for gaming. So I don't know, really.

.... Quadro cards cant run any games at all...

quadro will run games, with less performance than gaming cards, because they are meant for professional purposes (3d modeling, CAD, special effects, video editing) and thus use different firmware that isn't designed for gaming.
