It's humbling to see players willing to stand by developments side even when bad news is the key point of the topic.
It is a definite sign of progress in terms of players view of the development team and improved communication regarding both good stories and bad issues.

For now all there is to say is hold tight and keep in mind that what is to come in the near future will be well thought out and designed to be user friendly.

Kudos to the development team for their courage to stand up and explicitly apologise before several and several players, this is indeed a good sign reflecting how close the script/decision makers are getting to the public.
Now, for us players it is essential to remain positive and understand that as frustrating it may get to see dates being delayed, it's eventually worth it. Mutual trust is key to productivity, and productivity paired with input is efficiency.

The reason we announced it is because we needed to stop updating the main server, as our latest version isn't just new systems but a whole new core and major rewrite of underlying systems, it isn't easy for us to keep switching back and forth between the code revisions. Most certainly in future versions we won't need to update the core as majorly, so maintaining a level of secrecy will be more appropriate and suitable. It's really just since we've taken the helm, we've been pushing updates at least once a week so we didn't leave people hanging as to why that stopped.

I appreciate the gestures here but at the same time I do still feel a sense of responsibility in this miscommunication. Admittedly, some of the systems in question that are causing a delay have been in development for as long as 8 months now, entirely possible to have already seen completion. There is a real fault here and I intend to see it corrected.

Take as much time as you can, make RS5.2 a magnificent thing.

While this delay is bad news, the quality is the most important. Teddy, if needed, delay it right now or later to April or May, finish everything for a 100%.

I am with you developmet team, your job is hard and stressfull, and I will always be with you. I hope you will make RS5.2 something really magnificent.

If people asked me, I would delay it to 2017 to make hundreds and hundreds of more scripts.

And yeah, don't think I could wait to 2017 just because I am inactive, I don't care which version it is, RS5.1, or whatever, I just like the RP and the fun.
