Steam verison of GTA:SA / SA:MP

So I have got the steam version of GTA:SA had it a long time, instead of having *insert illegal shit here* game. The difference is with a non-legit version I can mod it usually but with this version on steam I currently can not.
I have done the following:

1. Use the GTA:SA steam downgrader to get to GTA SA US 1.0
2. I have used the GTA SA Loader (allows you to select Single, SAMP or MTA)

But whenever I try to install modloader with ASI loader and co, I end up crashing almost instantly. Any help?

I had the same issue with the Steam version and have switched back to using one obtained illegitimately. Apparently it's ported from the mobile version, which ends up causing all these issues. If you keep playing it with the 1.0 exe eventually you'll find all the SP save games get corrupted and crashes happen every now and then when you get inside a car (in SAMP as well) thanks to the radio files being messed with. I'd personally go back to using another version since there are zero advantages to this one.

To actually downgrade your Steam version to the REAL, true 1.0 version with all the missing audio files, textures etc. you need to use this downgrader, which includes all the original files, hence it being sized at 1.22GB

But unless you already used that one Luke, then I have no idea why you would be crashing with mod loader, works for me using the downgrader.

Thanks for the reply, I use the shitty of the downgraders from the steam community, that seems to work I have no issues with Mods anymore the only issue I have is the radio seems a little bugged, like I can listen to the normal radio inside of a PD cruiser, is this a bug that your downgrade should fix?
