Cannot upload avatar

Every time I try to upload my avatar, I keep getting this message:

An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

Is this problem because of me or the server?

If this is a server problem, when will it be fixed?

try hosting avatar somewhere, and then using "I have my own pic:" second one and apply it that way, works for me just fine...

When I go to the "Forum Profile Information," I only have one option to choose for avatar:



The screen shot did not come out right but it says:

I tried sticking a url in there but that does not work.

That's exactly what I did, it didn't work. I'll try again with some other pictures...

Wow, 1 day after I attempted to change my avatar, it is magically appeared.

Thnx to w.e fixed that.

Lol, i can see what you did, Internet URL's dont work in the "i will upload my own picture" option, thats only when the picture is on your computer, not from a Internet Link 

Use: "I have my own pic" instead if hosted from a website E.g Imageshack.us

There was no such option when I went to "Forum Profile Information." I only saw "I will upload my own picture."

Before the forum update, I used to see that option aswell but now I only see one option.

And in case you are going to ask, I tried with IE and FF and I get the same display.

The URL option wasn't there before the forum update either, only a long time ago.
It could've been done to save bandwidth stealing from other sites.

The default theme has little option, use the babylon one, that one at least has a modify topic button.
