Chapter 2-8 : Over Take (Part 2)
A single Shamal descended from the skies and approached for touchdown in Los Santos. Feeling the vibrations of the private jet as it slowed, she lifted her drink from the IKEA looking table so it wouldn't spill. The tires barked slightly and the jet came to a stop at the end of the runway. She took the pen from her mouth...yeah, it was a habit from childhood that she couldn't exactly shake. Standing up, she smoothed out her suit and shouldered her purse.
Exiting the Shamal, an Infernus sat running, waiting.
Just like V had promised she thought, amused.
I'm going to guess that you are Mr. Coronis's contact?That is correct madam.She nodded and entered the vehicle.
They drove from the Airport, heading towards Fort Carson. She barely looked up from the paperwork as he tried to make small talk. Arriving at the decrepit antenna, she got out of the car and took a few photos. Hopping back in the car, she drew a "1" on one of her keys. Heading a short way down the street, they arrived at the Gas Station. She took a few more pictures, and labelled another key "2".
Alright, looks like the last Asset is called...."the lot"? she read from the paperwork.
Maximiliano nodded and they headed across the tracks. She looked at the patch of dirt with a few trailers on it, and sighed.
These guys are all the same she thought, looking at the dust covered living quarters.
How much do I owe you for the pickup? she asked.
Maximiliano shook his head.
V already paid for that.She paused for a moment surprised.
Really? After everything he had told her? she almost said, but caught herself, remembering why she was there.
Well, thank you, Mr.....? she asked as she offered her hand.
Fontana. Maximiliano Fontana.Following suit, she responded
Grace. Daxton Grace. as she shook his hand. She turned around, looking at the mess in front of her, pulling out her keys. Walking up to the main Nomad trailer, she looked through the keys, and picked the one with a star on it.
She slid it in the lock, and it effortlessly popped open.
Just like V had promised she thought, still amused.
He may still have a chance, if he keeps up his promises.
