Racism during roleplay

From my recent roleplay scenarios on the server, I've witnessed alot of racist roleplay going on, even without both parties agreeing, and sometimes from admins, Is racism allowed during roleplay now-a-days?

I am roleplaying a southern man living in Angel Pine, was having a chat with Kaze when pizza showed up and I did "/me shifts his gaze towards the nig-ger as he mutters something un-hearable."

AFAIK, I got the green light to open a racist-based roleplay group. This game is 18+ as are majority of the HQ.

Generally speaking - If you feel offended by a groups/individuals racist character, simply avoid them.

It also depends on the context used

'Look at this black walking around my turf thinking he's indestructible' whilst in roleplay is fine.
PM ''Oi you fucking black cunt give me $100 for the damages to my car'' is declared racist and should be dealt with from administration.

If racist words are to be used in roleplay contexts, you can simply call the police because that is a crime afaik 'Racism in public' or smth.

I don't see any problem with racist RP if it isn't taken personal by other players or taken out of RP, if it is allowed, people should just choose who they do such RP's with carefully.

Bring in new laws against racism and let the cops deal with it?

So making a support ticket in game or sending a forum PM to a member of staff was totaly not an option. Just had to create a topic.

I actually have spoke with an admin about it, he couldn't really answer, support ticket forgot about that shit, asked anyone on the public chat, no proper answer. So yeah. Thanks for pointing this out, you can stop.

Interesting point! When I was active the first time around, racist RP wasn't tolerated (2009-2012). Obviously if you amd the other person are already familiar with each other then it was more acceptable...

So basically it'd be Administrator discretion on this, am I right Devin? Taking into account what was said, whether the guys know each other and if one clearly is uncomfortable with the situation I guess.

Racism has never been allowed certainly not what was posted in the link Devin sent, that's just completely uncalled for.  I certainly don't find anything wrong in what Emmett said his character may have a dislike for black people but it's not like he's going to go round shouting a bunch of highly racist crap and insult every black person he comes across.  There's a limit on what you should say and going to lengths like the unban request link is certainly way above those.  If you find what someone says offensive, report it and explain to the staff member that you don't like it.
