Improving the roleplay

I thought of different jobs on how we can encourage the roleplay. We only need someone to set this up and get people interested in the job!

• Weazel News (Ill attempt to bring this back in RS2, lots of free time then) (only paper)
• Road Administration (with access to placing barriers and stuff, maintaining roads etc)
• TV / Radio station, filming news ingame and uploading that to the forum / YouTube
• Bank employee - Helping with transactions, approving and denying them etc

Remember, just ideas. Feel free to add or remove.

i agree with Batta, no rules or punishment helps here, just try to jump start a RP when ever you can, tho many people have a wrong idea whats RP and how it should be done (yes its the good old, i dont wanna loose attitude)

But as i told mark when we talked last time, i got high hopes that RP will come back big time with new update, Armelin took a lot of suggested ideas and implemented them, now there are even more RP posibilitys that are supported with a script, as it seems that when ever you RP witn no script support ppl do that RP only once or two times, like selling hot dogs, many new players did buy one or two, (but when they wanted to use them, they were like whattt i cant use this, whats the point then) now with new scriptes for stocks and items and what not, players who will be selling stocks can try to bring the RP back by making meetings, calling (instead of fast /pm), even bargening, making contracts for cheaper stocks, etc etc.
 So i think with players who are now given more ways to give more RP opportunitys to all players, will decide to do so.

Again i might not be the one to talk about public RP, as im the same man who moved Lucchese RP from public into in house for reasons of quality and stability in RP, but still i like a good roleplay as much as any player, i mean where else can you RP a zombie that got his hand cut off and now uses it as weapon to slap people lol :P

I know players that RP every day but maybe we lack the communication betwen players who are willing to RP, maybe we could set up a cb or a group on forums, for all players who are willing only to RP and do little to nothing other stuff while in game, I do like how that sounds and it actualy might be very fun.

Yeah, that would be nice, but it's easier said than done for most cases.

I think the cb channel 500 might be awesome for that kind of people(I found it and I am the only member in it, to be honest ).

Even if we invite people to a Roleplay through an ad or the phone, most probably they will reject it. To me, quite all the time.
So, I've tried to bring all the players, or at least ten players in the bus to do a bus trip Roleplay to the comedy club where I would've asked a player in advance to put the Ricky Gervais skin on(model 55),  but, nobody wanted to put on the skin, nor enter the bus. Some regulars were in the server, as well. I think Nicole was there, too. So, it is quite self-explanatory why people don't really want to Roleplay these days. Even a simple call to interest a player into buying some product ends up in a rejection, most of the times. So, here you have an image of the server.

What about something that can come back every week? Some sort of thing that includes all the players on the server to coorporate? This way we can teach new players (who just joined) how to roleplay aswell and make our playerbase bigger?

Seems to be a good idea. Though, I'm not sure what type of roleplay event can it be.

People dont come to roleplay anymore, they come to earn money and buy houses/cars and so on..

Back at the old days, we had gangs that would roleplay with everyone (including me when i was part of an organisation) instead of killing people to become suspects..

Cops that roleplayed instead of directly shooting at suspects, investigations that took over an hour..

Civilians that would just walk up to you and start a conversation with you, gangs that would hang around places and so on..

Lately i havent seen any of those, perhaps maybe because im not that active on the server but thats because most of the time i get shit ass comments that refuse to roleplay in any way..

If u ask me how we can improve this? I dont know.. I'm just telling you guys what i see from my point of view.

I think the only thing you actually need is to just Roleplay, oh, and less guys in cars, I'm sick of freeroaming. I remember when yesterday I roleplayed with Dway on the street and I robbed him, but, LCPD officers showed up very fast, very impulsive and somehow funny Roleplay. Too bad Twenty found the surprise in that chocolate box :P.

Just thought of something new I saw in VC:MP boards.

Since we have an Laundromat interior, it would be a perfect place for some roleplays to develop.

At this days most of the investigation ends with 1min or less and even sometimes we dont go to investigation room we do it in a cruiser because of lack of role play and most of the suspects says i dont want to role play just do it fast....and my reaction is >:O< why do you come in a role play server if you dont want to role play :O
