Lol Charles looks like you are the real baskeball fan over here. First of all Portugal had luck with the draws, they didn't face  a single team that were at the top of the list when it comes to quality and all we saw was 5 draws, please. Yes, France did face only Germany as a real threat but atleast they won against the "unexperianced" ones. And can you please elaborate what we all saw what happend in the France-Germany match? And I hope for France win, so we can all see that lovely CR7 crying his way out because he didn't showed shit in this EURO. Best in the world my ass.

France 1 - 0 Portugal
Listen pal, I didn't say Portugal are favorites, of course not. I responded to Thomas' reply stating that Portugal has been lucky throughout the tournament.

Of course France are favorites but you have to take many things into account. Pros are that they fly above the stars at the moment. They are full of confidence, they have a very skilled striker up front, they play at home and all in all they are looking great.

On the other side, we have Portugal. A team that got knocked out of the group stage from the previous tournament, their best player has been performing poorly, they had major differences within their squad, Portugal has been in an economic mess which count as a down side for their fans too. However, dispite all of the difficulties, they reached the final. It doesn't the fuck matter how you get there, all it matters is that you get there. It was definitely not luck, it was a team spirit. It was their thirst for a national title. It was Fernando Santos who is a hell of a coach.. Many things that if you take it all into account you'll notice it wasn't all luck. They got a bit lucky in the penalties against Poland, none denies that fact.

Fernando Santos will build an army out there tonight. He'll be telling Pepe to take care of Griezmann for sure, he'll be having William Carvalho who is a tank in midfield to take care of Payet in the middle and he'll surely hit with counter attacks with the combo of CR7 - Nani - Sanches.

A real football pundit would laugh at you all saying "Portugal has been the luckiest, Portugal sucks, Portugal will lose easily".

Even tho France are the favorites, I'd go betting 1-2 for Portugal or Portugal win at penalties.

This post is much more appropriate than the previous one. No one said that Portugal sucks and that Portugal will lose easily, they would not be here where they are if they sucked. All the credits for the Portugal in finals goes to the coach and him only. All the arrows points towards the France, but we will see the ball is round. I just hope we have a great game tonight with a lot of goals ( which is less likely to happen  ).

Guys, there's no thing such luck that applies in Football. Call it strict science where each phenomena or action is justified with reasonable arguments. The reason why a team is in that stage doesn't let much room for speculations. Circumstances may differ but the scheme of the fixtures was already designed prior the competition start, therefore, nothing changed or favored any team.

Speaking on favors, I saw France very benefited from referees (directly or indirectly) where many fouls were simply denied from certain referees, maybe from distraction or incompetence. Might look like there's no major episode to doubt, but one, two, three, four or five situations in one game might pull at least one or two yellow cards which France didn't experienced actually.

Yeah and I bet Portugal will be conditioned with yellow cards in this match.. Sucks that Portugal can't even play a final or a semi final with an unbiased referee.

Don't you worry guys, Portugal knows what stands in their way. It's not something new. Of course referees will overlook few challenges, but that's it.

You can never reach the summit relying on your fluke , Luck is only a way of thinking and believing ,  Portugal has a bunch of talented and professional players who have performed very well and can not be underestimated.

With very much attention followed all the games of this Euro (specifically games of France and Portugal) and let me understand that teams who actually play "open" against Portugal leave more chances for counterattacks something that Portugal does perfectly. Conclusion: if France follow the same module they did against Germany (Ultra offensive, thirsty for goal since the very first minute) will benefit Portugal very much.

If France wants to win must play same game they did against Albania, controlling in all aspects the ball possession, therefore, the midfield, short distance between sectors between Defenders-Midfielders-Attackers, then Payet must pull something individually and get crowned as best player of competition.

That is a fair point and tactic. Glad to see there's some knowledge regarding football in Argonath rather than "lucky Portugal".

Exactly as you said.

I think a referee is more concerned about their professional reputation than "altering" the result of a football match.
