Character: Malnosella Salvatore
Age: 43
After graduating second of his class at the Greenglass College, majoring in medicine, he found that Las Venturas or San Andreas as whole for that matter, didn't have a lot to offer in terms of employment in the medical sector. Because of that, he moved to Liberty City, moving in on a cheap apartment in Hove Beach and eventually finding a job at the Westdyke Memorial Hospital.
At the Westdyke Memorial Hospital, Malnosella really started to commit to his craft. While working in the hospital, it was noticed that his steady hand was beast-suited for open-heart surgery. Life was a symphony for Malnosella until one day he had to operate on a rich oil sheik's son, who'd been suffering from appendix issues ever since he arrived in Liberty City. This by itself is strange, considering that climate or environment change doesn't typically provoke appendix infections.
Prior to the operation, the sheik's son kept insisting on having one of those new 52 inch LED in his recovery room of Wing B. Due to restrictions on the hospital's 120volt regulated-current supply to everything electronic, this could however not be accomodated. It must also be noted that even if it would've been technically possible, there are regulations in a hospital that are to be lived up to. Malnosella was already suffering from insomnia that day after not being able to fall asleep again the previous night due to construction workers tearing up the burned-down apartment across the street of his Hove Beach apartment.
Anyway, the operations failed miserably and the sheik made sure Malnosella was suspended. After all, operating while knowingly suffering from insomnia should never happen, Malnosella agreed in shame. While under a 3 year suspension, it was impossible for him to get a job at any of the hospitals in Liberty City. After moving to Dukes because he couldn't pay the landlord Vlad his rent anymore, he therefore resorted to helping out those who can't be helped legally in the medical sector. He started operating from his place in Dukes while buying, selling and operating with and on organs from dead bodies.
After one day a Serbian stranger shows up at his place unexpectedly, he got spooked at first, but as the stranger offers two fresh dead bodies for free, Malnosella couldn't refuse, knowing that they could mean at least another month of sustaining his own life. However, the following day he wakes up from the sound of his own door being forcefully opened and spic shouting. He manages to flee through the bathroom windows of his one-floor apartment. After asking friends for advice and help, while being vague about the situation, he decides he'd better return to San Andreas if he wants to be sure of his life.
As he arrives at Los Santos International Airport, he gets a cab to his old neighbourhood in Bone County, finding it completely abandoned. As he smokes his last cigarette at the town's graveyard, strolling west, he realizes the now so lively city of Los Santos may have more for him to offer. His suspension has since long been lifted and he hopes the Jefferson Memorial Hospital will have a spot. They did in fact have a spot, but due to Malnosella's records, or more precisely, the absence of legitimate records, he wasn't hired.
While walking around Idlewood, he noticed a small clinic with some beat up white and blue ambulances that he recognized from his childhood. He decides to head inside where he meets the owner of the clinic. Johnny 'Conk' Harrison of the First Response Medical Services explains Malnosella that he just started out in the business due to ''disagreeing with the ethics of the hospitals of days'' or some pseudo-intellectual bullshit like that. Malnosella suspected Conk to be in a similar situation he was in, except with a bigger wallet. He however didn't hesitate to take up Conk's offer to join the company and crash on his couch in El Corona for a while to get stuff sorted. Thus Malnosella hopes to relive his golden years at the Westdyke Memorial Hospital, starting from the bottom again at Harrison's first Response Medical Services.
