Damn you got a nice PC!

Right guys, when I seem to plug in my HDMI cable it says 'Not supported' I am currently connected via DVI but I need sound aswell. How do I fix this 'Not supported' issue?

Well fuck... Try manually updating the GPU/Motherboard Drivers. I don't know what else.

http://www.adverts.ie/graphics-cards/asus-geforce-gtx-980-4gb-gddr5-pci-express-3-0/10181713 980 for really cheap. Used market gives some unreal deals. there is 7950 for €150 and that shit is a performer at 1080p about on par with a 960 4gb with 1 less GB fo VRAM

It means the card is trying to push out an image that is too high a resolution and the monitor cannot handle it.

On Windows 7, right click the desktop and click "Display", click the external monitor in the settings, and move the resolution slider bar down a bit until it works.

Most monitors now support 1920x1080, but other common ones include:
1600x900
1440x900
1366x768
1280x720

Work down each setting, and stop at the one that works and doesn't display the screen a bit blurry :)

The TV might not support 60Hz for example, try going down on it also

Not sure what Hz my PS4 is on but the same cable on the same TV works flawlessly. How would I reduce the Hz?

Forgot to point out.. the VGA doesn't work either. I currently connect the PC to my TV via the DVI from the GPU.

USB's and Audio port does work at the back though..

Are you connecting the HDMI to the GPU or MOBO?

My bad I didn't make that clear.

The HDMI port is on the MOBO.

Good thinking Celso!

Whilst the graphics card is plugged in I would not expect the video outputs (HDMI, VGA etc) on the motherboard to work. I'd only expect the ports on the video card to work. If you've got any HDMI ports on your video card then plug them in there. If you don't, then unfortunately you'll have to stick with the DVI!

Is there a way to reverse this? I have 3 additional unnecessary cables running around just because the HDMI doesn't work. I'm using 10 year old speakers

You *may* already have audio going along the DVI cable.

Try right clicking your volume icon down the bottom right, click "Playback devices," right click another playback device onscreen, it might reference HDMI, Digital, TV or something like that, and "Set as Default"
