I have no problems with paid items, as long as such items can also be earned by playing a lot.

Also I don't think paid items should be in game cash, or be redeemed for in game cash. That would over inflate the economy to RS4 levels.

Pretty much everything proposed comes down to 'pay to win' in Argonath terminology. ''Winning'' in Argonath would be having those things others don't have and can only be bought with real money. This is why I'm personally against any form of real life money being involved in Argonath.

In just under a month, we would've been asking for donations for a decade, and yet not once has enough donations been received to cover the cost of essential expenses.

Server hosting is not cheap. Donations won't just go towards "paying taxes," check out club.argonathrpg.com for the financial statements.
Currently a lot of money comes out of the owners pockets to keep this place running, so donations would help subsidise the community, with enough donations potentially allowing the server to branch to more platforms, and keeping it running for a longer period of time.

 I'd pay for Argonath to remain one of the few servers without premium items for real cash. Don't wanna pull the vision card, but this is something that shouldn't even be considered.

Brilliant idea, maybe paying IRL for IG might deter kids playing here. Money isn't an issue I can easily paypal Gandalf but ofcourse I want something valuable on the other end.

IRL, I'm close with one homeless guy and always drop him off some change and in return he comes and lets me know when the ticket man is here so I don't get a parking fine. So yeah, I wouldn't mind giving IG money for something I get in return

- VIP/Donator package, gives a small badge on forum and panel + some extra small things or something
- Weekly access to "VIP sales" which would sell special wearable items (parrot for example)
- Extra /wear slots
- Custom title hovering under/above your name
- Small skill increase
