What a surprise, people already blaming muslims. There is a video of the shooter being recorded, he's a German with a typical bavarian accent, claiming that he was bullied seven years by foreigners and that he had to buy a gun. He also said a few things like "fucking turks".

The 18year old shooter was iranian and german too, he had both passports but he grew up in Herz4 which is as far as I understood a neighbourhood with people who get assistance from the state. I've been here for two weeks, there are plenty of mad people. Most are homeless though. I think the shooter was mad too, that does not make him an ISIS soldier or a nazi.

Hats off to the german police though, within 15 minutes Hauptbahnhof was secured and helicopters were patrolling the area while the police force were evacuating the people. I don't know why they didn't tell the people to evacuate but instead said that the transport was shut down. Rarely saw cops on the streets, but as soon as something happened, strets were full of sirens. Even though I don't understand how they didn't locate the guy ( or maybe they didn't want the media to know), they still did a good job in keeping the people safe. Respect.

Keep in mind, we only know what the media is reporting. That doesn't necessarily mean there aren't other groups out there causing these incidents. It just means those are the ones reported. Considering radical Islamic views and ISIS/ISIL are a big thing right now, it is only expected that they be the majority of people carrying out attacks during this time period. (Think of back during the late 1800's and early 1900's when the KKK was a big problem. Most extremist attacks reported then were about them). Just because you see a pattern right now doesn't mean it is justifiable to stereotype it. Over time these groups will change again, just as they always do. Politics, war, and many other factors influence this.
