The Red County Militia - Fight For Your Freedom

The Red County Militia is an army or fighting unit that is composed of all able-bodied citizens who are capable of bearing arms. The absolute last line of defence against any threat to the State or County, whether that threat is natural or man made, foreign or domestic. Unable to hold their own against properly trained and equipped professional forces, it is common for the Militia to engage in Guerrilla Warfare or defence instead of being used in open attacks and offensive actions.

Our motivation is patriotism and a sincere desire to defend our land and life. Our goal is to encourage all citizens to achieve a high level of preparedness for a wide variety of possible emergencies. We support a Constitutionally limited government and defend the Argonath ideals of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. We are open to all citizens regardless of race, sex, religion, or political affiliation. The Militia, as an organization, has no religious theme nor racial in nature.

With the emergence of professional forces in Argonath and the change of leadership in states, the citizens of Red County took it upon themselves to form a well organised Militia in defence of their everlasting freedom.The Militia is needed as the absolute last line of defence against any threat, whether natural or man-made, foreign or domestic. It is everyone's responsibility to be prepared to protect and defend their state and country as the Militia constantly remains an "on-call" organization no matter the circumstance.

The Militia does not advocate terrorism or violence. The militia is a dedicated group of citizen patriots who volunteer their time and energy to further the cause of freedom. The only thing we blow to pieces are clay targets, and if we are ever attacked by them, we will win!

RECRUIT (Entry Level)
In basic Level One training, undergoing screening and evaluation during mandatory 7 day probationary period. This is also the entry rank for those who respond to a call up.

PRIVATE
Basic militia-man, has attained Level One training and equipment standards. Can operate unsupported in the field for a 1 hour period.

PRIVATE FIRST CLASS
Primary Forces militia-man - Assistant Team Leader. Must assist in the training of Private's through the buddy system or one on one interactive training. Has met all level two training and equipment standards. Can operate unsupported in the field for a 2 hour period.

CORPORAL (Team Leader)
Has actively served as a Private First Class for a period of 1 month or as sufficient. He has mastered all Level 1 and 2 skills and is capable of teaching them to others. The Corporal has a good working knowledge of small unit tactics, troop leading procedures and has proven his leadership qualities in the field; reporting to the Sergeant.

SERGEANT (Squad Leader)
Has served as a Corporal for a period of 1-3 months as assessed. He is a master of all Level 1 and 2 skills and is the lead instructor of his squad. He has proven leadership ability. He is knowledgeable in advanced squad level tactics, resistance warfare, troop leading procedures, mission planning and execution. Sergeant's liaise with Corporals to ensure all standards are met before, during and after the conduct of missions; reporting back to the Lieutenant.

MASTER SERGEANT
He is the senior at the platoon level and can command up to 3 squads. He is the senior training officer for his platoon. It is his responsibility to maintain the combat readiness of his men at all times; reporting back to the Lieutenant.

LIEUTENANT (Platoon Leader)
Has served as a Master Sergeant for a sufficient period. The Lieutenant is the lead instructor of the Platoon, liaising with Sergeants to ensure all standards are met before, during and after the conduct of missions.

CAPTAIN
Maintains authority and leads the County Battalion, has proven to be a true leader and can command up to 3 platoons. Captain's have relationships with every member of every squad and oversee all the workings of the Militia's actions. They are some of the most trusted leaders in the Militia and have proven so to hold their positions.

COLONEL
Serves as the commanding officer for the Battalion, all information given from the General and Commander in Chief on missions/briefings, are read through and strategically mapped out with the Captain to structure the Battalions movements. The Colonel works directly with the General in maintaining military standards throughout the entire organisation.

GENERAL
The highest ranking officer of the Militia state, rarely would engage in direct combat though enforces that all areas are being covered in missions even if having to man positions themselves. The General discusses every move with the Commander in Chief, in the event of a state emergency the General will be the officer declaring the State of Emergency and Calling in/Deploying units.

COMMANDER IN CHIEF (Governor)
The Commander in Chief is the head of the organisation, he ensures the welfare and controls the financial decisions of the entire Militia. The Commander in Chief works directly with the General and gives the final permissions on any raids/missions in all circumstances. The "Governor" is the Militia's figurehead for the media and in the event of an emergency in the County, the Governor would address the press as would need be.
