Hotel Suggestions

  • Hotel room is supposed to replace your home and the ability to store weapons & drugs there is realistic and really needed to be added. People keep storing in warehouses and hotels are being useless. Storing skins only is not enough for a hotel I think. So add /getstorage, /take, /store for hotel rooms, too.
  • Renting a room. The current script is not that optimised. You can add a guest and you can forget to remove him after one week or a month depending on the contract. Sometimes you can /addguest and the client refuses to give you the money and leaves. This makes it looks like a troll script. I would like to see a cmd like this /rentroom <PlayerName> <Payment> <Period>. This goes as an offer to the client and he can either /accept or /reject. If accepted the time starts and payments goes directly from client to staff member.
  • Ability of another player to rent a room to someone, expect hotel owner. Well a cmd like this is needed /add staff <PlayerName>. You can check staff list /stafflist. Also you can remove a staff member /remstaff <PlayerName>.
  • Devide hotel's wardrobe from house's wardrobe. Makes it more realistic.

I think this si a great idea, but won't it take away the need for houses, as people will just go to the cheaper alternative?

Does hotel take away the need for a house irl? House possesion is luxury for people... regular players will buy a house bcz they cant stay all the time in a hotel. Hotel is a good choice for new players to start with. Storage is something that makes hotels more useable. Just dont force people to use warehouses only.

Hotels rooms can not store weapons because warehouses can. Warehouses can not have /spawnprop but hotels can. It's balanced, no changes will be made on that end.

You forgot to do your job? Too bad.
Demand payment upfront, not after the fact. This avoids you being scammed. If you scam as the owner of the place, word will travel fast and nobody visits your place.

Doesn't /sharekey give another player the ability to rent rooms?

I don't understand what you mean by 4th suggestion?

That would make warehouses useless. Hotels would become a straightforward choice as a business opportunity. Currently, if you don't own a house and need to store skins and weapons, you got to rent both a hotel and a warehouse. As Kessu said, this is balanced.

You can remove a guest even if he is offline.
/guests displays the Guest ID of the player. /remguest <Guest ID> would evict the guest even if he is offline.
To automatically remove a player from the hotel after a period of time would need a timer in the scripts. I'm reluctant to add anymore timers due to various technical reasons.

This is already possible through 'keys'.

You mean have different clothes stored in a hotel and house?
It is possible. When you buy any clothes, it gets stored in any empty wardrobe slot available in a Hotel or a Property. So, if you empty the slots through /remclothes in your property those clothes still stay in your hotel. The next time you would buy any clothes, it will get stored in your empty Property wardrobe slot. Your Hotel wardrobe would stay the same.

The balancing issue can be corrected to allow all storage in hotels and warehouses. How? Simple. Max storage amounts for each type. A hotel can only store a small amount of items due to its size (lets be a little realistic) yet a warehouse could give you unlimited storage space. The balance remains: Do you want a hotel where you can spawn at with your clothes and a small storage, or do you rent a warehouse because you simply want storage space for all your 'perfectly legal' items? The choice is yours.
