IV:MP not starting up

After some time of inactivity because of study, I stumble across the following problem:

My IV:MP is not starting anymore. I have tried to change the compatibility to Windows 8 and 7, but it is not working. I tried singleplayer and that worked like a charm. IV:MP just does not start up, no icon, no black screen, nothing. I only see the loading cursor (Windows default) flickering multiple times, but thats it.

Did anyone have the same problem or does anyone know a solution?

Problem was in the Windows 10 August update, replaced some files (PM me if you need them).

Ofcourse if you have another solution, post it so we do not have to talk about the (non legal) files

Before doing a rollback have you tried enabling the option "Display display scaling on high DPI settings" ?
