Just stop banning people who are dedicated roleplayers. Those people you forum banned and said something in the forum are great roleplayers which you probably never had the chance to roleplay with cause ... you were never there to do that. Why people leave? Sure thing, because shit like the territory thing are happening to the server. If you keep adding this stuff you'll see the server die faster than a forum ban.

So I have to force people to give me a share of their business profits? That's quite impossible to happen when people would rather shoot themselves than cough up a few hundred dollars. What you'll see is groups buying as many as businesses as possible to color the map and business owners being pussies about it.

Improve the system by making it an attack/defend script where groups have to fight others to own their territory, a claimed territory cannot be attacked once again for like 3 days or some shit. Groups can fight along their friends to minimize losses as well, a specific amount of players have to be online from both groups to be able to attack a territory.


Can you kids stop bitching about ruining RP and look at the community's name? It says Argonath fucking RPG, keyword is RPG here, you want to be an RPG server? You have to have RPG elements, this is an RPG element.

Your policies clearly did not work, else you would not be in need of new players.
Time to get back to how Argonath should be, a place where new players are welcome instead of booted out.

And I did not ask to to switch it on immediately, I asked you to create it for a possible 5.3 as intended, that means territories will be the thing that criminal groups use to fight over instead of killing eahc other for no reason at all.
IF that is kiling RP, then those people have no idea what RP is.

Very simple. because most players will stop playing after 5-6 years. The ones who stay are very welcome, especially if they use their experience to guide new ones. But if they are here to try and keep out new players and have the server for themselves, you should understand that it is the main reason of player count going down steadily. I appreciate everyone who cames in to the server on a regular base, expecially if they are here for a logn time. And I am sure there are some who have done a lot of work that they did not get enough appreciation for.
But at the same time, you can not expect people to play forever, which means you have to be inviting to new players.
Sure a lot of the mare hackers and only come to make trouble. But that has never been different, and if the atmosphere is not welcoming people will faster try to disturb things.

Well maybe if we haven't experienced that already, we wouldn't call them "hackers and DDOSSers". I don't judge them that way anyway, but really, really big percent of them are actually spoiled kids who are only satisfied with the usage of cheats. Actually the tolerance level for hackers is currently really really above than what should be. But it's your server, you make the rules.

We need both new players and regulars. We need regulars as a base of Argonath, who's gonna lead the newplayers in becoming regular players as well.
 
Pushing one of these groups will lead to a death server again. If you push the regulars out, and favor new players, then by the time those new players develop into regulars, asking for the same things, as the old ones, you've gonna be pushing them out as well.

Because then those developed regular players are gonna go to other servers, while Argonath is gonna be left with new players, as a 'player acadamy' that's gonna do all the work,  turn a hacker into a decent roleplayer, and then when he hits the highlight, he's gonna go to a different server, instead of offering back to Argonath everything he knows.

On the other hand, if newplayers are pushed out, Argonath has no future as well.

In my opinion, the HQ should listen to what the Community needs and asks for, and balance it as much as it can, to keep regulars happy, while offering new players big enough reasons to stay here.

About this territory shizzle, I dont really have an opinion. Since its based on business ownership, and not on a gang war win or what ever, it wont really create lots of constant wars like people are afraid. At least not more then there is now.

Well, admins are giving them chances by kicking them to remove their hacks, they do not. Should we start paying them to remove the hacks? And DDOSSers, those who DDOS are not new players, they are old players who love to play with bullshit attacking programs that attack a gaming server, because they got no life.

Everyone starts from zero, everyone did. Everyone was once a new player, scripts are the same for everyone. They got jobs to increase their economy and they got all different kind of groups they can hang around with. But instead, it's a super low amount of new players that do try to listen what others say and not go fully mental in main chat by spamming and stuff. They just do not read when old players say what to do and how to do it. We have got helpers now, we are doing the best we can. We're scared to TP to LSAP cause instantly we start getting beat up by some xxxpussyslayer69xxxx player who is obviously here to troll or like I said, we take a flight by a random guy who decides to use *insert hack program name here* to throw players or to car rain hack. Trust me, we do try our best before we boost people out. And we do boost out those who deserve to be boosted out not those who are obviously here to stay.

I know that it is Gandalf running this server, but why do you not give the players what they want?

You don't see players saying "Fuck Argonath, I am going to stop playing here because they never invented by gang wars idea." because they don't make ideas oriented towards DM and TDM, but more like RP oriented ideas like a revamp of the suspect system, etc
