Unfortunately the theme's design would have to be completely rewritten from scratch to do this, which is not an easy task. I've tried converting the theme itself over to SMF 2.1, which has internal support for this, and the theme completely bugs out in mobile viewing modes. Unfortunately I don't think the author has any plans to convert it over in the future, so we may have to do that ourselves once we find someone willing and capable with a lot of time on their hands.
As for mobile versions, I do somewhat wonder why this is needed anymore. With today's technology, most websites don't even bother with mobile versions now because smartphones and tablets can render them just like a computer can, but also add the ability to zoom in to see anything that may be too small on those screens. As far as I'm aware, everything in this forum should be operating just fine on mobile browsers the same as standard desktop systems. The only exception may be if you are using an unsupported web browser, (like the now defunct Android Browser, which was officially replaced by Google Chrome a very long time ago).
