So this problem was not very common on my PC for a while except now
My PC hangs with green or red pixels around the screen and its getting more and more common
how can I fix this?

(is it okay if I post 2 topics here?)

Is your GPU overclocked? If yes, revert to factory default settings.
GPU or the display are the most likely causes - try another display and/or another graphics card.

If that does not help, it could also be power supply not being able to supply enough power to the GPU.

And yes, you can post 2 topics here as long as they are about different issues.

Power supplies get old too and may output less wattage than described. This is very often the case if you have a low-quality power supply from a less known (or unknown) brand.

The issue is possible if you had done any overclock, but since you have not overclocked, you're fine.

My next guess would be drivers - Use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove all graphics drivers and install new, clean ones. Personally, I have had issues with Nvidia's newer drivers with my 980 Ti so I am using version 361.75. You can try that as well.
