Hello everyone,
As I recently was assigned as a Moderator, I noticed that false reporting has gone up!
Please consider this as a request to you:
STOP reporting players for reasons you obviously know are false to simply get them in trouble.
I am not discouraging anyone to use /report. But please, keep it for valid reasons.
A short example:
A group fight (war) between Sforza and [ HR ] breaks out.
In this event, Sforza is outnumbered and [ HR] wins the short shootout.
>Sforza members /report [id] Deathmatching, NO RP!!!!
Now that's the type of SH1T that needs to stop. You tried shooting it out, so you lost, and now suddenly are Deathmatchers? No. You're false reporting them. If you feel you are being deathmatched or a rule is being broken, it would be very much appreciated that you report during the situation, not after it. Or at least invest in a recording software, or simply take screenshots as evidence to support your claim!
Also another reminder: Deathmatching is considered a kill/attack with no RP reason.
Not when you are obviously going to lose and you just don't feel like it.
Which brings me to the next point, Forced Roleplaying.
I believe Gandalf said it himself, you are here to roleplay, if you don't want to, /q.
If a player aims a gun at you and wants to rob you, you are obligated to ROLEPLAY.
You will not always be winning in a roleplay situation, someone has to be a victim at times.
Please don't see being robbed in game as the world just ended, you can go ahead and rob him back in 10 minutes if you feel like it.(if you don't die, of course)
The Administration team sometimes gets a lot of reports, and we usually handle them 1 by 1. Please consider that with the time we spend on figuring out that you are simply said butthurt, we could have actually assisted somebody who required our immediate attention.
I feel like Argonath is getting better and this is something we can all agree on. Let's all work together to get past these type of situations.
I am able to write a very, very big list of examples and situations but I hope that this was enough for you to understand what I am trying to say.
Feel free to add and/or correct me.
I hope some of you can look at this the way I am.
Thank you,
Astaroth
